Big Wood is the red headed step child of Sun Valley golf. It’s beat up, has some scars and the greens suck. That being said - golfers/staff here are non pretentious and welcoming. The course is overpriced no doubt but it’s challenging and has character. The cart guy “Carl” is fantastic and really made our day.

Excellent sandwiches and breakfast burritos, beautiful wide open and blue and white skies! Beautiful expanses of fresh green! I grandfather-in my appreciation to this course. I must thank my coach and friend Blake (seen here), for helping me go: from a complete novice... (Someone who thought occulus practice could somehow translate to the green! He teases me all the time deservedly so.) ...to: after only 5 games, being able to complete a round close to par. Bigwood Golf Club has my heart and fondness for life.

Course was fun. Other reviews are correct that it’s over priced and some areas of the course were not in good condition. But fun play good scenery. More of a recreational golf course

Super fun course in a most beautiful setting but struggling with the grass

It’s crazy that this place has 4 stars. The greens were terrible and unkept. They turned on the sprinklers right in the middle of us playing our hole. Would not recommend.

Until this property is sold or refinanced, don’t bother. Have been coming here for 20 years and have NEVER seen it in such poor condition. Greens are horrible. No range or putting green. Not recommended.
