The greens are typically medium speed and somewhat inconsistent, which adds a layer of strategy especially when navigating pin positions. Though it lacks the manicured styling of upscale resort courses, Lake Hills compensates with a relaxed ambiance and dependable playability.
Amenities include an on-site snack shack and comfort stations, although some facilities near the middle of the layout have seen limited use in recent seasons. The clubhouse acts as a casual hub for check-ins and regrouping after rounds.

Early summer is generally the best time to experience Lake Hills at its peak condition, with summer heat occasionally baking parts of the rough. Pricing is competitive for the region, making it an excellent option for locals and travelers alike seeking value without sacrificing quality.

When we called to make a tee time the guy who answered the phone, Liam, was unfriendly and clearly did not want to be there. Prices are too high for the quality of the course and they book too many tee times so it was extremely slow. Would be better off spending your money at Pryor or Eagle Rock.

The owner has passion for something in life. Golf. most local business owners I see don't have passion for anything but money.

Played this course alot when lived in Billings. Course was in good shape for late May. Greens were slow and inconsistent but everything was green and the course played great. Not much has changed over the years. Too bad they don't use the restrooms and snack shack in middle of the course. Overall this course is a fair challenge but the price could be a little lower.
