Two Rivers Golf Course

Nashville, Tennessee, USAMiddle Tennessee

Two Rivers Golf Course in Nashville delivers an engaging 18-hole municipal layout carved through hilly terrain offering a challenging yet approachable round. With Bermuda greens and a mix of strategic doglegs and water hazards, this course is a standout option for players of all skill levels seeking quality public golf close to the city.

Course Overview

Situated just a short drive from downtown Nashville, Two Rivers Golf Course offers a compelling blend of challenge and accessibility within its 18 holes. This public, municipally operated course extends over a hilly landscape that demands thoughtful club selection and shot placement, rewarding golfers who engage fully with its undulating terrain. The layout presents a balanced combination of doglegs, elevation changes, and water hazards that come into play organically, resulting in a course that is both inviting for eager beginners and suitably testing for more seasoned players.

The routing takes advantage of the natural hills and valleys, creating visual interest and strategic variety from the first tee through to the eighteenth green. Fairways accommodate a range of shot shapes, including tight-angled doglegs requiring precision off the tee, particularly on the front nine. The back nine opens into more straightforward, longer holes where power and accuracy merge, underlined by Bermuda greens that roll smoothly and consistently—a feature that elevates the putting experience well above what one might expect at a public venue.

The course conditions receive consistent praise. Well-maintained fairways and robust Bermuda turf bring reliable footing and pace to each round, though some bunkers show signs of infrequent raking. Water hazards appear sparingly but provide thoughtful risk-reward scenarios near several greens, adding another layer to the strategic play. Two Rivers’ clubhouse complements the round with welcoming hospitality and a professional pro shop team that adds to the overall ease of play.

For players planning a visit, wearing shoes suitable for hilly terrain is advisable, as walking involves moderate climbs and descents. Parking is plentiful with shaded spots, a considerate feature for summer play under Tennessee’s sun. With tee times that can fill quickly, advance booking is recommended, especially on weekends.

Two Rivers Golf Course strikes a solid balance between accessible golf and genuine test, making it a worthwhile stop for anyone exploring Nashville’s public golf offerings.

Course Highlights

Distinctive hilly terrain shapes shot-making challenges throughout the course, while Bermuda greens provide true roll. This is an awesome little track for the money. I never know what to expect when I pick a random municipal course to stop at, but I am happy with the outcome of this one. The pro shop staff was professional and courteous. The course it self was in great condition, their new Bermuda greens rolled quicker than most municipal courses. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a quality round of golf for less than 30 dollars.

I’ve been to several Nashville Public golf courses, and Two Rivers is so far the nicest one yet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The clubhouse is clean and spacious. There is plenty of parking with spots under trees (which is particularly nice on hot days). The course is well kept and has a good blend of sand and water hazards, trees, bends, and hills and valleys. The carts are in good shape as are the rental clubs. I’ll definitely be back to play a full 18.

Great, fun, even if an easy layout. Hilly course, but the course is very straightforward. Lots of doglegs on the front and straightaway holes on the back. Typical metro course conditioning, which is to say it's ok. Fairways could be tighter, greens are good. Nobody rakes a bunker, ever.
