Heritage Golf Links

Tucker, Georgia, USAMetro Atlanta

Heritage Golf Links offers a rewarding parkland experience amid rolling terrain and notably large, tiered greens. This public 18-hole course challenges players of varying skills with elevation changes, strategic layouts, and accessible practice facilities in the Atlanta metro area.

Course Overview

Heritage Golf Links presents a compelling challenge for golfers seeking a layout that balances enjoyment with strategic demands. Located in the suburbs of Tucker, Georgia, this public 18-hole course offers a mix of elevation changes and sizable greens designed to reward careful shot placement and thoughtful putting. Its parkland-style setting places players amid rolling terrain and mature trees, fostering an environment that is both fresh and approachable for a variety of skill levels.

The course length plays to mid-range yardages, making it accessible without sacrificing challenge. Elevation shifts add a distinctive character to several holes, requiring players to consider club selection carefully and account for wind when it sweeps through the open fairways. The greens are notably large, featuring multiple tiers and slopes that test even experienced putters, encouraging precision and patience on every approach.

Practice facilities at Heritage Golf Links accommodate warm-ups and short game tune-ups with a spacious putting green and well-maintained practice areas. Food and beverage options within the clubhouse provide welcome respite after a round, offering a place to recharge and discuss memorable shots. Two holes on the course feature stations for drinks, though players should note the absence of cart attendants during the round.

For visitors planning a trip, walking is possible but can be physically demanding due to the terrain’s elevation changes; comfortable shoes with good support are advised. The course maintains a reasonable pace of play on weekdays and weekends alike, though players should remain aware of other groups to ensure smooth flow. Heritage Golf Links is especially well suited for golfers who appreciate a course that challenges the mind as much as the swing, encouraging improvement through a thoughtful, measured approach.

While the course provides a warm welcome to most groups, travelers may want to anticipate varying pace dynamics and remain prepared for occasional competitive play scenarios. Overall, Heritage Golf Links stands out as a solid option for golfers in the Atlanta metro area seeking a public venue with character, testing greens, and a blend of natural elevation and parkland charm.

Course Highlights

The course features expansive, multi-tiered greens that demand precision approach shots and putting finesse. Heritage hosted a batchelor trip for me and some friends and made it easy. The course was in great shape, and the pro gave me some pointers before my round that has helped my driver even today. All around good experience.

The course was in good shape. The pace of play was fine. Clubhouse food was tasty. The practice area was nice. (matts wete a little hard). Two holes on the course had drinks for sale, but no cart girl, so that could have been better. Paid $60 to golf at 10 am on a weekday - Reasonable price. Overall, it was a good experience!

I had a really frustrating experience at Heritage Golf Links that left a bad taste in my mouth. My group and I (a group of women) were playing at a perfectly reasonable pace — we were on the green putting while the group ahead of us was still teeing off. So we weren’t holding anyone up. If we had sped up any more, we would’ve just been stuck waiting behind the group ahead of us. Despite this, the group of men behind us kept pushing us aggressively. They were hitting their balls dangerously close — some landing right next to us while we were still playing on the fairway. It was unsafe, uncomfortable, and completely uncalled for. To make matters worse, when the marshal finally came by, instead of addressing the group that was clearly being reckless and impatient, he let them pass us. Even though both our group and theirs had to wait nearly 8 minutes for the next group to finish teeing off anyway — so letting them through made zero sense. It felt like a complete dismissal of our group, and honestly, it seemed like the marshal didn’t take us seriously just because we were a group of women. We were treated like we didn’t belong out there, even though we were keeping up with the pace of play the entire time. This kind of treatment is not okay, and I won’t be returning.

Best track in the metro Atlanta area. The new updates to the course are phenomenal and the good F&B is an added bonus. Staff makes you feel like you’re at your own private club. Highly recommend!

Getting better. They are putting a ton of work into the course and facilities. One of the nines has brand new greens. Another is under construction. The third….unfortunately hasn’t been touched yet which is why I only gave it four stars. Can be tough with quite a bit of elevation. Greens are huge but have lots of tiers and slopes. A good challenge and they often have good deals

Had a fantastic time! Extremely fun layout with greens that were both challenging and fun to putt on. Layout isn’t long, but still challenging for everyone. Food in the clubhouse was great as well. Can’t wait to come back!
