Cross Creek Golf Club

Atlanta, Georgia, USAMetro Atlanta

Cross Creek Golf Club is an affordable 18-hole par-3 course in northwest Atlanta, offering a focused short-game experience with varied hole lengths and a walking-only policy. Ideal for beginners and those honing wedge skills, it balances approachable play with enough strategic challenges to keep golfers engaged.

Course Overview

Located in the heart of northwest Atlanta, Cross Creek Golf Club presents an approachable and budget-friendly 18-hole par-3 challenge that invites golfers to sharpen their short game. This walking-only course offers a straightforward layout punctuated by varied green complexes that reward precision and touch. Spanning just under 1,600 yards, Cross Creek’s range of holes stretches from modest 70-yard pitches to longer approaches of 135 yards, creating a platform well suited for beginners and those looking to focus on their wedge play.

The course’s compact design threads through a blend of open fairways and tighter corridors bordered by trees, demanding thoughtful club selection and shot execution. While some holes weave closer to surrounding roads and wooded edges, the course maintains an accessible and friendly atmosphere, making it a popular option for local players seeking an affordable round without the formality of an exclusive club.

Cross Creek’s greens vary in condition, reflecting ongoing efforts to improve the putting surfaces and tee boxes. While some greens offer true, receptive lies, others show signs of wear, creating an added layer of challenge that rewards careful reads and adjusted strategies. Golfers will find bunkers minimally placed but enough to test short game creativity when navigating the final strokes.

The absence of motorized carts emphasizes walking, contributing to an intimate pace of play where golfers move steadily through holes in roughly two hours solo. Push carts are available for a nominal fee, supporting players who prefer not to carry clubs unaided. This course requires no tee time reservations and welcomes players during daylight hours, making it a convenient stop for those in the Atlanta metro area seeking a brief yet constructive golf outing.

Cross Creek Golf Club provides a practical setting to build confidence around the green without the pressure of length or complexity. It suits golfers eager to practice short irons and putters while enjoying a casual, community-oriented vibe. Its combination of affordability, accessibility, and playability makes it a distinctive fixture among Georgia’s urban par-3 options.

Course Highlights

An 18-hole par-3 layout featuring hole lengths from 70 to 135 yards highlights the short-game emphasis of Cross Creek. The course’s compact routing through wooded sections and near roadways demands control and concentration. Varied green conditions provide a mix of true and challenging putting surfaces, while improvements to tees and mats indicate ongoing efforts to enhance playability. The absence of carts fosters steady pace and personal engagement with the terrain.

It is what it is. Great little par 3 course. Nothing fancy but for the price it’s perfect. Sharpen up that short game. Greens are so-so on some holes, better on others. I enjoyed the cheap golf. $27 for 18 walking only. Push carts for $2. No golf carts but it is a great little course for the money.

Reviewing from a purely golf perspective (didn’t hit up the bar or anything). Paid $25 for a walking 18 on a Saturday. Didn’t have a tee time, and they just let me walk out and play on my own. Finished in a little under 2hrs as a solo, but you can probably budget 2.5 or so as a group. Some nice folks let me play through. The greens were a mix of bad and okay (pictured). Could be a fun place for beginners on a week day. Some areas are a little tight if you’re hitting left and right (including woods, roads, and other players)

With green fees this low, expectations were minimal, but the course still fell short. The conditions are very poor. In several cases, the pin was placed in the fairway instead of on the green. If the course is in this level of disrepair, it should be closed until necessary improvements are made.

They have been working real hard to improve the course and it’s starting to look great! All the T-boxes resodded and now have mats built in at the back of the box. A lot of the greens are starting to look good too. The course itself is fun and there are plenty of challenging greens to hit. Shortest hole is about 70 yards. Longest 135. Average is 100 yards.
