Rio Secco was the fourth course on our trip, and the perfect spot to finally pull out the driver and let it rip. After tighter layouts earlier in the tour, this course felt wide open and freeing—long, scenic, and built for power. The layout is beautiful, weaving through desert terrain with stunning views and even a glimpse of the Vegas skyline in the distance. Every hole offered something unique, and the overall experience was top-tier. Great pace, great conditions, and a perfect blend of playability and challenge. Definitely a highlight of the trip.

This golf course is incredible! The tee boxes are beautiful, the fairways (except for two) are like carpet, and the greens will destroy you with the slopes. Three cheers for not looking for your ball in the rocks! Don't even try.

I was really disappointed in the course. It was in really rough shape and not worth the price. I was tempted to go in the pro shop and ask for some sort of refund. It is not worth the price as a non resident. Please don’t let the photos on the website fool you, it’s nowhere near what they per tray. The only thing it had going for it was the views. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures

I would give it 3 stars today, but the staff was great and the facilities are great. The course was in pretty bad shape, definitely bumping the balls in the fairways a good part of the time-not horrid, but not great. The real bummer was the green speeds though. They looked healthy, however the grass is long and they might be running at an 8, maybe even down to a 7. Not sure what their issue is, other courses in the area like Boulder Creek are still pure and running at good paces for summer time. I am sure I will play it again someday, hopefully when it is in top shape.

I’ll first preface this review by saying the course is not, in its current state, worth five stars. But when the fairway bunker renovations are finished, it will undoubtedly be a 5-star course. Everything about Rio Secco is fantastic, well, maybe not everything. The price surge in the valley seems to have hit the maximum here. But I get it. If people continue to pay, they will keep raising the rates. So aside from the current renovations and pricing structure, the golf is outstanding. They have a world-class practice facility, a meticulously manicured course, some of the best views of the Vegas skyline, the Butch Harmon School, and a fantastic restaurant. The pro shop is well stocked with a wide variety of apparel and goodies to commemorate your outing. Hopefully, one day the prices we come back to earth cause that’s the only reason I’m not playing there every month.

This was my first time playing in the USA and what a golf course this is. The staff in the pro shop were very helpful and was absolutely immaculate. I picked up the rental set of club outside the front of the clubhouse by the golf carts and proceeded to an amazing grass and sand driving range. Balls were readily available on the range which conveniently had a halfway house in front of it to grab snacks and drinks. The course was in great condition and was a tough test for a 13 handicapper in myself. I played from the white tees. The greenkeeping staff out on the course were very friendly and said hi whenever I passed them. The surrounding views were stunning and was an amazing day. The pro shop had a huge variety of apparel, golf clubs, shoes, gloves, balls, accessories etc. I forgot the two guys working in the shop, I think it was Joe and chase but they were so friendly and helpful and even gave me and my wife a free drink token for the restaurant. Highly recommend!
