Course Overview

Waukewan Golf Club offers an authentic golfing experience framed by the natural contours of Center Harbor’s landscape in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region. This 18-hole, private course challenges players with a layout shaped by rolling terrain, tree-lined fairways, and well-protected greens. While the course demands precision and strategic thinking, it rewards those who welcome testing conditions with a compelling blend of challenge and charm.

The course exhibits a classic parkland design with holes meandering through gentle hills and mature hardwoods, offering glimpses of Lake Waukewan from various vantage points. Players must carefully navigate elevation changes and subtle slopes, where distance control and club selection become crucial. The layout encourages use of every club in the bag, making it a fitting venue for mid-to-low handicappers who appreciate thoughtful shot-making without the intimidation of overly punishing hazards.

Greens at Waukewan are consistently maintained and receptive to approach shots, demanding an accurate short game to secure pars and birdies. Beyond the course itself, the driving range offers a bright, well-kept practice area where players can warm up before their rounds or refine specific facets of their game. The club’s staff is known for its friendly demeanor and accommodating service, enhancing the overall visit.

Visitors should note the course’s sensitivity to weather, as periods of significant rain can leave parts of the course soft and slower than usual. Walking is welcomed, with varied terrain that rewards proper footwear and moderate fitness.

For golfers seeking a venue where natural New England beauty meets carefully crafted challenge, Waukewan Golf Club presents a rewarding day of golf enriched by its thoughtful design and attentive stewardship.

Clean, greens were nice, staff was friendly. Unfortunately the course was very wet, nothing like playing in wet shoes all day. However the views were amazing.

Stopped to hit a few buckets, $5 for 35 balls. The course looked beautifully manicured. A guy at the range said it is a challenging course with a lot of natural features. The driving range was nice and sunny. Looking forward to getting back. Highly recommend

I don’t write bad reviews, but I will never golf there again!! Was pouring rain and thunderstorms. We did not golf and they charged my credit card $179.00. When I called they said “that’s the policy!” I called that day and no one answered the phone. I left a message the next day and never received a call back. I find it hard to believe that the course was fully booked because I live in Laconia and it was raining and there was thunder!! To charge my credit card $179.00 and not call me back is very poor customer service.

One of my favorites in the Lakes Region. If it's your first time here, try to play with someone with local knowledge, it will definitely make a difference in your score. It's a challenging terrained layout and you will use every club in your bag. Friendly staff and a must play if you're in the area. Good pro shop and Bob is very accommodating. Great views!
