Course Overview

Kukuiolono Park & Golf Course presents an accessible and refreshing golf experience on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. This public, 9-hole layout offers both a traditional full-par option and an executive par-3 variant, creating a versatile playing field suited for a variety of skill levels. The course’s gently rolling terrain sweeps across lush tropical landscaping, framed by occasional glimpses of the Pacific Ocean that provide a striking coastal backdrop.

The design favors playability, with well-maintained greens and approachable fairways that welcome beginners and casual players while still offering subtle challenges for more seasoned golfers. With holes varying in length up to 244 yards, each test encourages thoughtful shot placement, especially where bunkers and native rough quietly assert themselves near the greens. The winds, typical of the Kauai coastline, introduce an additional layer of strategy, inviting players to adjust their tempo and trajectory accordingly.

Such a nice little park. There's a small Hawaiian rock garden and a Japanese garden. A path takes you to a pavilion where there are beautiful views. It was a nice place to get out and stretch our legs. Oh, there is also a golf and frisbee golf course. 9 hole par3. Longest hole is 244.

My family and I came to this golf course so excited at the price so we could all golf together and without it being a fortune for all of us. My family is quite large, so only half of us wanted to golf, and the other half wanted to sit in the carts. Our experience in the beginning turned out to put a sour taste in my mouth. The employees were honestly quite rude to my family for no reason. My dad has worked at a golf course and had been playing golf for many years and has won many tournaments. Yet the employee was talking to him with such disrespect and immaturity. He was so rude making sure we knew all the rules and golf etiquette (which we all do, we’ve golfed many times before). He wouldn’t let my pregnant mom drive a cart. He kept telling us rules and fines we’d receive in the most annoying and passive aggressive tone. He told us to not take too long and slow people down. We hadn’t even done anything and the employee seemed to assume we were going to crash the carts, loose the clubs, and be annoying. It was so rude. I understand getting this mad at golfers goofing off, but we hadn’t even done anything wrong. He told us only people over 18 could drive the cart, and checked my drivers license even though I’m well over 18. My dad paid a good amount of money, and almost asked for a refund because of how much of a jerk this guy was being. I don’t think that’s how paying customers should be treated, no matter how many kids they have. The course other than that was fun. Amazing views. The course isn’t the nicest, but that’s expected. It was so fun when we were out golfing, but I was disappointed by the employees. I guess you get what you pay for.

$5 for Mini golf on real grass. It was a bit of a challenge due to the “course conditions,” and we all laughed and enjoyed ourselves. After using the driving range and putting green, the three of us rented serviceable clubs and squeezed in after a tournament. No tee times, first come, first served. The course was a kick in the pants, we all had a great time. Will return for sure. When you’re ordering what you want, the older gentleman wants you to be ready and say it all in a certain order. He’s cranky. “Three for a round of golf, three club rental, two women, one man, all right handed.” Restrooms available. They also offer disc golf on select days.

Beautiful garden. Very picturesque. A great place to visit and walk around the paths. And it's FREE. My family and I enjoyed our little walk around the garden and looking at all the beautiful things there. My grandson loved chasing the chickens that kept surrounding him.

Came here on vacation with my family to play my first full round of golf in 6 years. Course was cool and definitely had fun up until we went to return clubs. Pretty sure Tony uses anti wrinkle cream on his brain because there is no way anyone in their right mind would ever speak to a customer of their workplace the way he did. We were criticized for our speed of play( 9 holes in 2 hours as a foursome, not exceptionally fast but well within the expectation). Upon returning our clubs Tony berated us for having people wait behind us (were playing at a similar speed and never asked us to play through, and another golfer got mixed up on his way to his hole and accidentally blocked us) and told us that the number one rule was to make sure the people behind us have fun, not us. Upon being told the reasoning he shook his head and grumbled and continued to complain that we had taken too long. Tony should probably consider another line of work as it is evident customer service is not his forte. (The other older gentleman working was very kind and I want to specify that Tony specifically is the reason I had a bad experience.) Will not be coming back.

Kukuiolono Park & Golf Course is a COMPLETE HIDDEN GEM on the island of Kauai! We stayed at a high end VRBO in Koloa where we paid high end money to golf 18 holes. As we drove over to the Port Allen area to drop people off for a day of snorkeling (boring), we came across this 9 hole course off the beaten path. Thinking it was just an executive course, was our first mistake. It is a full blow 9 hole course, but if you want to play it as a executive Par 3, they have markers for it. Expecting to pay a hefty price to golf, the cost was $15 for 9 holes per person, and $15 for a cart, that was split per player, costing $7.50 each. We golfed in Kauai for $22.50 for 9 holes. We went inside and grabbed beers at the bar, and decided to go play 9 more. Since we already paid a $15 "donation" for the green fees, the only cost was the $7.50 per person for the cart. Unreal! We played the challenging 9 holes again, and called it a day. THE GOOD: Gas carts were awesome. Bar / Food area was clean and the employees attentive. The views from all the holes overlooking the ocean were phenomenal! Greens were well kept. THE BAD: Cant take beers on the course. Had to drink them in the bar area. Not a big setback for us, but could be if you are beer-golfer, and require swing lube. You will thank me for making the trip over here to play, Just don't tell everyone, because next time we go back, we will play this course all day. A true value of a golf course for any location I have ever played. Keep up the great work Kukuiolono Golf Course!
