International Club of Myrtle Beach
The International Club of Myrtle Beach presents a finely tuned public 18-hole parkland course where strategic shot-making meets comfortable playability. Set amid gentle terrain and tall pines, it offers a balanced test for golfers seeking variety, quality maintenance, and a friendly atmosphere.
Course Overview
Set against the gently rolling terrain of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, the International Club of Myrtle Beach offers an inviting blend of challenge and charm across a championship 18-hole layout. This public course harnesses the region’s natural undulations and pine-lined corridors, crafting a parkland-style experience that is accessible yet demanding, making it ideal for golfers of all skill levels. The routing unfolds through fairways that occasionally narrow under the watchful presence of mature trees, while strategically placed water hazards and bunkers require thoughtful shot selection. These course elements shape an engaging test without overwhelming the casual player.
What stands out at the International Club is its attention to playability balanced with maintenance that keeps the course in commendable condition. Recent improvements have sharpened the quality of the greens and tee boxes, enhancing surface consistency and ball roll. Golfers will find comfort in the smooth running pace, generally completed in just under five hours, supported by GPS-equipped carts that glide smoothly over the fairways.
The clubhouse complements the golf with a welcoming atmosphere, featuring a restaurant that serves as a relaxing spot to unwind post-round. The staff's attentive service reinforces the club’s reputation for hospitality, lending a polished yet approachable tone to the overall experience. While the loss of the driving range limits practice opportunities on-site, the course itself remains a vibrant centerpiece for those looking to test their game in the Myrtle Beach area.
Players should prepare for tree-lined holes that reward precision and a few water features that influence scoring decisions throughout the round. Walking is an option for those seeking a more immersive experience, though the terrain is best approached with comfortable footwear given some moderate elevation changes and the parkland setting. The International Club of Myrtle Beach invites visitors seeking a well-maintained, thoughtfully designed golf destination that reflects the evolving landscape of its surroundings while honoring classic course principles.

Had an excellent day on the course. Golf carts are extremely comfortable with GPS as well. Staff was very nice and a smooth operation. They do pair you as foursomes if you have less than 4. Pace was decent about 4 and a half hours on a busy Friday.

Nice course with some challenging holes. It's a shame that they did away with the driving range for houses. Nice staff and a decent restaurant. My understanding is the new owner, who just purchased Rivers Edge (name escapes me) is planning on some major renovations.

Dad and I first played here in November 2017 and the course was a disaster. We decided to give it another try on Thursday, April 10, 2025, and wow, the course was in spectacular shape. We heard the course was under new ownership. We had a great time. Greens were excellent, fairways were beautiful, tee boxes were flat and well maintained. We were shocked with how well the course looked since the last time we played here. We’ll definitely be back!

Have been here many times!! Love the place, but....played yesterday and the greens and tee boxes need a lot of work. I know they air raided recently but there appears to be a deeper fungus issue. Anyway, I hope they fix as it's my go to!

The staff were all terrific. Super friendly. Carts, restaurant, and pro shop were all top notch. The only downside is that the bunkers and greens were not in very good shape. Overall though, I would play again. We had a nice time.
