Its three distinct nines combine generous fairways with precise greens, creating a course that challenges players across all skill levels while rewarding strategic play and shot accuracy.

Course Overview

Interlocken Golf Club offers a compelling golf experience amid the striking foothills of Broomfield, Colorado. As a 27-hole facility arranged over three distinct nines, Interlocken seamlessly blends parkland-style layouts with subtle mountain elevation changes that shape each round’s strategic demand. The course is public and walk-friendly, welcoming a broad range of players seeking diverse challenges without overwhelming intimidation.

The well-maintained fairways invite confident tee shots, while thick, penal roughs emphasize precision, especially around the greens. These greens reward accurate approach shots and careful putting, providing a true test for golfers of all skill levels. The course’s signature Vista nine stands out for its rhythmic terrain undulations and uninterrupted views of the nearby Rockies, creating a calm yet focused atmosphere. The thoughtful contours in the greens compel players to consider shot placement, while bunkers strategically guard key scoring areas.

Interlocken’s practice facilities add value to the overall experience. The driving range provides free range balls, a welcome perk for visitors warming up or fine-tuning their swings. The club supports walking with good paths and manageable elevation shifts, though players should prepare for some uphill stretches and bring appropriate footwear for comfort.

Despite the course’s strengths, summertime conditions call for vigilance, especially regarding hydration. Players have noted service inconsistencies in cart support and water availability during hotter days. Planning rounds during cooler morning hours or checking availability of amenities ahead can help ensure a more comfortable outing.

The staff consistently earns praise for friendly, knowledgeable service, contributing to a welcoming environment. Interlocken’s flexible 27-hole layout allows various combinations of nines, offering repeat playability that holds new challenges on each visit. Whether you’re sharpening your game or seeking a scenic outing with varied shot-making opportunities, Interlocken Golf Club provides a solid, approachable mountain-style golf experience just off Denver’s metropolitan area.

Course Highlights

Interlocken’s three nine-hole courses provide distinct character and challenge, highlighted by the Vista nine with expansive mountain views and intricate green complexes. Generous fairways contrast with dense roughs that demand accuracy. The free-ball driving range and accommodating staff enhance the visitor experience.

Great course. Conditions of fairways and green were tremendous. Fairways are very generous. The rough is not real deep but very thick and penalizing . Need to be in the right place on the greens. Staff was awesome. Let us go off a little early with some cancelations due to predicted weather. Good practice area.

Very engaging team and the course was in outstanding shape. Played on a Sunday morning in 4 hours, great experience and will be back next time we're in the area.

Great course. 27-holes, walked on, and got right out. Generous fairways, for the most part, couple tricky holes... the greens are good, roll true and smooth, but difficult in my opinion.

One of the best Golf Club staffs in Denver. Jason and the pro shop team are top notch and super accommodating. The course was beautiful and well maintained. Definitely play the Vista course if you can only play one. Will play here again without a doubt.

We went on Juneteenth. Granted this is a harder course than normal, that is not the reason for my bad review. The weather was in the 90s. We showed up and the water machine wasn’t working - I thought ok no worries the cart service will be by. Went up to the driving range (which is free balls so that’s nice) but we got there and half the ball crates were empty so we had to ask our neighbor to borrow some. Start of the first hole - cart service comes and all seems well. End of the front 9 - didn’t see the cart service again so we had to go inside to fill up our water bottles. Reminder - its mid 90s out. Back 9, didn’t see the cart service one time. By hole 14, our entire party was feeling pretty dehydrated and we finished the back 9 feeling awful. We returned the carts and let the cart service know what was happening. They gave us a few waters (which we had to pour on our heads because we were so done) and they said have a good one. The fact that we paid over $140 for the round, I would expect phenomenal service, which was not what my party experienced. Won’t be coming back here until I get word of mouth that this place treats their patrons well.

Outstanding day Golfing in Colorado. People working here made our visit even more enjoyable. We where here for the Denver Broncos Alumni tournament and definitely got the full treatment.
