Warriors Path Golf Course
Warriors Path Golf Course offers an 18-hole mountain layout that combines rolling elevation with approachable challenges suited to intermediate golfers. Located within a state park setting in Kingsport, Tennessee, the course balances natural terrain with well-maintained greens and a relaxed pace.
Course Overview
Set against the rolling hills of northeastern Tennessee, Warriors Path Golf Course offers an 18-hole experience that blends mountain terrain with accessible challenges for golfers of varied skill levels. As a public course within a state park, it presents a unique opportunity to play amid natural woodlands and elevation changes that influence strategy off every tee. The course’s layout uses the topography to create a route that combines demanding uphill and downhill shots with a handful of blind tee boxes that test course management and shot precision.
Playing Warriors Path means embracing its distinctive elevation shifts. Each hole requires a careful club selection to navigate uneven lies and slopes that influence ball flight and roll. The absence of heavy bunkering and limited water hazards makes terrain the primary obstacle, delivering a terrain-driven challenge that favors disciplined ball striking and thoughtful scoring tactics. With moderate length, the course often encourages iron play over the driver, promoting accuracy over sheer distance.
Greens are widely regarded as consistent and well-kept, although their speed tends to lean toward the slower side, allowing for thoughtful approach shots to settle softly. The course’s character is further shaped by fully electric golf carts that glide quietly along hilly fairways, easing the physical demands of walking while preserving the peaceful environment.
Warriors Path extends an inviting atmosphere for intermediate players who appreciate its walkable mountain setting and reasonable rates. The course’s public status means it can experience busy periods on weekends, so planning tee times midweek or early mornings is advisable for a smoother pace of play. The clubhouse provides essential amenities including convenient concessions noted for popular local favorites, such as loaded hot dogs, contributing to a welcoming visit.
For those seeking a mountain golf outing without the premium price tag, Warriors Path delivers a blend of natural beauty, varied shot-making challenges, and relaxed parkland styling. The landscape is a partner both demanding and approachable, rewarding focus and patience on fairways that wind through its serene surroundings. Whether hiking the hills or cruising in a cart, the course remains a distinctive choice for accessible mountain golf in Tennessee.
Course Highlights
The course’s defining elements include its hilly mountain terrain, several blind tee shots that challenge directional control, and consistently maintained yet slower greens. Fully electric golf carts reduce noise and environmental impact. The absence of water hazards and minimal bunkering focuses the challenge on shot placement amid elevation changes.

Great course. The course far outweighs the cost. Rangers are kind and knowledgeable, and the community members are too. You have to get a loaded dog from the concessions!

Overall great experience minus one employee working the register that tried to charge us $54 for an additional cart for two spectators when the website says $16 was rude about it saying it's 24 per spectator. When we pull up and show her where it says $16. Then proceeds to tell us that on the warriors path website it's 24 but there is not a direct warriors path golf website to be found

Not bad for a state park course , greens are on the slow side . And being public be prepared to wait . On weekends can take close to 5 hour to get 18 in . Very get able track tho you can take it low

This course was so much fun. Very hilly, and challenging if you have never played. Luckily we played with two great guys a they let us know about how the ball would be affected and where to hit. The staff was very nice and super accommodating. We will be playing again!

This is a great mountain golf course providing value at an entry level price. While the hills make it a challenging course to walk, cart golf is a blast. Greens are slow but well maintained and consistent. The lack of fairway bunkers and over water shots make it ideal for intermediate golfers and the short yardages may often negate the use of drivers. Several blind tee shots add to the challenge and the golf carts are fully electric (non noisy) so for the money, this is a tough course to beat. If you have tons of money, there are definitely nicer courses but not at this price point and ease of access.
