Warriors Path Golf Course

Kingsport, Tennessee, USAEast Tennessee

Warriors Path Golf Course in Kingsport, Tennessee presents an 18-hole mountain-style public course crafted for strategic play amid rolling terrain. With moderate yardages, slow greens, and elevation challenges, it serves a broad range of golfers seeking value and natural beauty in East Tennessee.

Course Overview

Situated within the rolling hills of Kingsport, Tennessee, Warriors Path Golf Course offers an engaging 18-hole public layout that balances scenic challenge with approachable play. Set against a mountain backdrop that shapes each hole with elevation changes and varying sightlines, this course rewards strategic shot-making without demanding professional precision. The terrain’s natural contours introduce blind tee shots and uphill approaches that demand thoughtful club selection, while the absence of fairway bunkers encourages creativity off the tee and offers forgiveness to mid-level players.

Golfers will find the course’s layout encouraging yet thought-provoking. At roughly 6,700 yards with a par of 72, the yardages are moderate, often reducing the reliance on drivers in favor of accuracy and course management. The mountain-influenced landforms create uneven lies and sloped fairways, making walking a test of endurance as much as skill. However, the quiet hum of the fully electric golf carts eases travel across the course, maintaining the tranquility that defines the round.

Greens at Warriors Path are consistently maintained, though noted for their slower pace, rewarding golfers who focus on precision rather than speed. The setting blends natural wooded areas with open vistas, allowing intermittent views while keeping much of the course intimate and shaded. The staff’s welcoming attitude and the affordability of play make this course a favorite for locals and visitors looking to enjoy a full round without premium pricing.

Practical for all levels, the course particularly suits intermediate golfers who seek a manageable but nuanced challenge in a majestic mountain environment. Visitors should anticipate possible weekend delays due to its popularity and plan accordingly. Amenities include a friendly pro shop and concessions that have become local staples. Whether embarking on a relaxed day on the links or sharpening competitive edge, Warriors Path Golf Course offers a satisfying golf experience wrapped in Tennessee’s natural character.

Course Highlights

Warriors Path harnesses mountain topography to create a layout rich with elevation shifts and blind tee shots. The absence of fairway bunkers makes the course approachable, while slower, well-kept greens test putting patience. Fully electric golf carts preserve the peaceful environment throughout the round. The course’s scenic vistas and rugged hillsides provide an authentic mountain golf experience uncommon among public courses in the region.

Overall great experience minus one employee working the register that tried to charge us $54 for an additional cart for two spectators when the website says $16 was rude about it saying it's 24 per spectator. When we pull up and show her where it says $16. Then proceeds to tell us that on the warriors path website it's 24 but there is not a direct warriors path golf website to be found

This is a great mountain golf course providing value at an entry level price. While the hills make it a challenging course to walk, cart golf is a blast. Greens are slow but well maintained and consistent. The lack of fairway bunkers and over water shots make it ideal for intermediate golfers and the short yardages may often negate the use of drivers. Several blind tee shots add to the challenge and the golf carts are fully electric (non noisy) so for the money, this is a tough course to beat. If you have tons of money, there are definitely nicer courses but not at this price point and ease of access.

Great course. The course far outweighs the cost. Rangers are kind and knowledgeable, and the community members are too. You have to get a loaded dog from the concessions!

This course was so much fun. Very hilly, and challenging if you have never played. Luckily we played with two great guys a they let us know about how the ball would be affected and where to hit. The staff was very nice and super accommodating. We will be playing again!
