Course Overview
Crockett Ridge Golf Course offers an engaging 18-hole layout that challenges golfers of varying skill levels while providing a scenic backdrop true to East Tennessee’s rolling terrain. This public course is designed to reward strategic play rather than just power, with well-maintained fairways that weave through gently undulating hills and water hazards that demand attention both visually and tactically. The course’s flavor falls comfortably into a parkland style, where mature trees frame holes and influence shot-shaping decisions, especially on the approach.
Players will find the greens at Crockett Ridge to be generally receptive and well-kept, although conditions can vary depending on seasonal weather. The maintenance team prioritizes playable surfaces, aiming to strike a balance between firm putting surfaces and smooth roll. A notable feature is the clear presence of water that edges several key holes, requiring thoughtful club selection and adding an element of risk and reward.
Crockett Ridge is approachable for beginners eager to explore the game without intimidation, yet it presents enough challenge for mid to low handicappers looking to test their accuracy and course management skills. The course encourages pace of play through straightforward routing, but the undulating terrain and occasional changes in elevation ensure that each round feels distinct.
The practice area complements the full course, featuring a driving range and chipping green, ideal for warming up or fine-tuning your short game. The on-site golf shop is staffed by friendly professionals who assist with equipment rentals and provide local insights. Friendly service stands out—reviews often highlight the helpfulness of staff, making first-time visitors feel welcome.
Walkers will appreciate the course’s manageable length and layout, though sturdy footwear is advisable due to some uneven ground and natural terrain variations. Crockett Ridge offers a genuine regional experience for Tennessee golfers, balancing natural beauty with well-planned holes that reward thoughtful play without excessive penalty.

Had a great time, awesome course (hard though) and golf shop people were really nice. Lost my phone, Robert and Bri helped me out really good. 100% recommend.

My brother in law and I went here a few days ago. Neither of us had ever been before. We had an absolute blast! I personally recommend paying for the sessions with the pros out there. I learned so much from those guys. They taught us etiquette, techniques, and when to use them. The staff is really helpful and friendly. They rent clubs too if anyone is wondering. If you have been wanting to play golf, just try it. I'll definitely be going back.

In good shape compared to other courses in the area. Really good practice facility. Greens were in very good shape. If you get a chance or want to play it, I would recommend this course. BTW, the layout and scenery is very nice.

I wish I would have took photos from today’s round. The worst kept greens I have ever witnessed, basically putting on bunkers. All greens are lost. Won’t be back until I hear they are cleaned up. $55 is a joke for how awful shape they are in. Wouldn’t even play for a half off special.

Too expensive. The golf carts are a pain in the ass. It constantly stops your cart if it doesn't like where it thinks you are. Your own beverages aren't allowed. They want you to pay 4.50 each for theirs. Their snack bar is pathetic. For 4$ you get a cheap weenie on hot rollers. A cold bun. No chili. No onion. They obviously don't care about the average golfer, and instead think their course in the boonies is first class, but it simply isn't. No wonder we were pretty much alone on the course on Sunday at 11 AM. The course is fun, but the "smart" golf cart ruined the day. I won't go back.
