Course Overview
Copper Basin Golf Club offers a distinctive golfing experience in the rolling hills of Copperhill, Tennessee. This 9-hole course extends its play over two full loops by utilizing multiple tee boxes, effectively creating an 18-hole challenge that appeals to a range of skill levels. The layout showcases a mountain-style terrain where elevation shifts subtly influence club selection and shot strategy, rewarding players who embrace its natural contours.
The course’s compact yardage demands precision rather than power, with small, well-maintained greens that invite thoughtful approach shots and test short-game skills. Its gentle elevation changes break the rhythm of typical play, encouraging golfers to pay close attention to their footing and shot shape. The fairways wind through a landscape framed more by open skies and distant wooded ridges than dense forests, lending a spacious feel where the crisp mountain air shifts the trajectory of the ball.
Copper Basin’s design prioritizes enjoyment and playability, making it accessible to beginners while offering subtle challenges for more seasoned players. Bunkers and natural hazards are modest but strategically placed, guarding the greens without overwhelming the pace. The course’s pace of play benefits from clear signage and well-marked tee boxes, though players should take care to study the course map on holes four through seven as these can feel less defined amid the terrain.
Teeing off here invites a calm yet engaging round amid an approachable setting. The condition of the greens consistently earns praise for its smoothness, often rivaling those on longer, more prestigious layouts. The friendly atmosphere of the club enhances the experience—players frequently note the welcoming environment and the value of a peaceful day outdoors.

Drove 50min from Cleveland to play here on a nice November day. The greens were very nice even though we've had several frosty nights by now. Each hole is unique. Very few hazards. Pay close attention to the map while playing holes #4-7; they're not well-differentiated like most courses are. Bottom line: this is a nice 9-hole course with great scenery. Can't wait to go back.

Like many others, I took up golf during the pandemic and have truly grown to appreciate the challenge of this unique game. Finding places like this to enjoy the game with a close friend and brother makes it all the more satisfying. The greens here are better than most high-end courses that I have visited. The people are incredibly friendly and the course itself is well laid out to create a challenge. We played the white markers on the front and the blues on the back as suggested. Made for a great 18 holes. We hope to return often.

My very first time playing this course. It was great! The course is not long, but it was challenging due to the elevation changes. The greens are small, but in pristine condition. It is only a 9 hole course, but it has multiple tee box to change things up. I will be definitely returning to play again.

Not a bad little 9 hole course at all!!! Greens were nicer than I expected. They’re smaller which makes it a worthy challenge. I plan on playing here any time I’m in this area.
