Indian Creek Golf Course

Hood River, Oregon, USAColumbia River Gorge

Indian Creek Golf Course in Hood River offers an 18-hole public layout that balances accessible play with compelling challenges amid stunning Cascades views. Thoughtful course conditioning and welcoming amenities create an inviting experience for golfers at every skill level.

Course Overview

Indian Creek Golf Course presents an 18-hole journey that marries thoughtful design with the natural splendor of Oregon’s Hood River region. A public course open to golfers of all levels, Indian Creek blends gently rolling fairways with the rugged contours typical of a mountain-influenced layout. The course’s setting reveals sweeping views of the nearby Cascades, including striking sightlines toward Mount Hood, which provide an inspiring backdrop throughout your round.

Careful attention to conditioning ensures the fairways maintain a plush feel underfoot, while greens respond crisply to every putt. The layout strikes an accessible balance—challenging enough to captivate experienced players, yet forgiving in spots to welcome those still sharpening their game. Strategic bunkers frame many greens, guarding scoring opportunities without overbearing intimidation. The elevation changes and well-placed hazards encourage a measured approach, rewarding thoughtful shot selection.

Those arriving will find more than just golf to appreciate. Indian Creek’s clubhouse offers a warm atmosphere with a spacious outdoor patio accentuated by heaters, extending comfort even on chillier days. The dining selection complements the ambiance with generous portions and fresh, flavorful options, perfect for post-round relaxation or casual meals between holes. Staff elsewhere on the property bring a friendly professionalism that supports a smooth visit, from the pro shop to on-course assistance.

Golfers planning a visit should prepare for a course that affords walking options on terrain that is moderate but occasionally rolling, so suitable footwear is recommended. Seasonal conditions generally favor spring through early fall play, when fairways and greens are at their best. Integrated GPS carts enhance navigation and course management, though some players may find the system’s sensitivity demanding of patience.

Indian Creek combines scenic beauty, solid challenge, and inviting amenities, making it a standout choice for travelers and locals alike eager to experience Pacific Northwest golf without sacrificing approachability or comfort.

Over all had a really solid experience. The atmosphere of the golf course was really pretty. We were greeted right away and they secured us nice outdoor seating almost right away. They had a nice back patio area with heaters so it was very cozy. The menu had a good variety and it was hard to make a choice. As I wasn't super hungry I opted for a bowl of clam chowder. And boy was the portion size HUGE! The flavor and consistency were good, although the potato chunks could have been diced down a little smaller. I was also able to try my friends seafood radiator and it had great flavor along with large shrimp and crab. Next time I come I will for sure give it a try. The staff was friendly and on top of it and took plates away as needed along with keeping on top of refreshments. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice relaxed dinner. I will for sure be back.

Phenomenal course- well maintained and beautifully designed this course is challanging enough to keep you engaged yet forgiving enough you won't get frustrated. The whole time you play you will be able to stop and take in the picturesque views of the cascades. The staff is great- helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Although I haven't played every course in oregon, this course stands out as one of the very best I have played in the state or anywhere for that matter. I highly recommend playing here if you are in hoodriver.

This course is well thought out and very relaxing to play as you take in the true beauty the fills ALL of your senses. It is a challenging course and fun! The carts have the integrated GPS system other courses of like quality have. The GPS path warning system is more sensitive than most and at times annoyingly counter intuitive. It shut me down on the way to the cart path several times.

What a great golf course! We were in town from Florida on vacation and were amazed by the course conditions, the greens, and the views, especially of Mount Hood. The fairways and greens were some of the best we ever played, and we belong to a nice country club back in Tampa. I would recommend this course to anyone, thank you to all the staff, especially in the pro shop, for making our day wonderful.
