Inland Greens Park & Golf Course
Inland Greens Park & Golf Course is a compact, 9-hole executive layout in Wilmington, offering a short but strategic test focused on the short game. Featuring accessible walking, water hazards, and a friendly community atmosphere, it suits beginners and players honing approach shots alike.
Course Overview
Inland Greens Park & Golf Course offers a distinctive experience for golfers seeking a tight, approachable layout within Wilmington’s urban setting. This public, 9-hole executive course stretches just over 1,000 yards and par 27, emphasizing short game precision rather than length. Its compact design challenges players to sharpen approach and wedge shots amid a course where every stroke counts. The terrain is largely flat, bordered by residential areas that bring a unique sense of focus and discipline to each tee shot, where errant drives can quickly wander off target.
Though short in distance, Inland Greens surprises with water features that come into play on multiple holes, adding a layer of strategic interest uncommon for such a modest layout. The artificial turf tee boxes provide consistent footing, though some spots allow tees in natural ground, catering to varied player preferences. The greens tend to run slow, allowing players to work on delicate putting strokes and build confidence around the cup.
The course’s intimate size makes it exceptionally walkable, with rounds typically concluding in about an hour. This pace appeals to both novice golfers aiming to practice fundamentals and enthusiasts looking to sharpen their approach game without committing a half day. Inland Greens is also an economical choice, making it an inviting option for those balancing practice needs with budget.
The surrounding landscape, while urban, frames the course with small pockets of greenery and water hazards that create moments of visual relief and challenge. The staff’s reputation for friendliness enhances the welcoming atmosphere, making Inland Greens feel less like a municipal course and more like a community hub for golfers.
Players visiting Wilmington will find Inland Greens a practical stop for short game practice or a quick round to break up their golf itinerary. Bring a few wedges, irons, and a putter to make the most of its design. While it doesn’t offer the sweeping vistas of coastal or parkland courses, it provides a focused environment where precision and strategy reveal their importance. Ideal for beginners and seasoned players alike, Inland Greens rewards thoughtful play in a compact, no-frills package.

So fun! Well maintained pitch and putt. As a brand new golfer I really appreciated the short range.

You get what you pay for. But with that said l enjoyed the course. You will never think for a second that you are playing Pine Valley (and l mean the NJ one) but it’s a cool little 9 hole executive course. I think the longest hole was about 140-150 yards. The tee boxes are artificial turf, but there are spots you can use a tee in the ground. The holes were actually really cool with some water even coming in to play. Obviously you don’t need to think about a fairway. The greens are slow, but that’s what I expected. I had no one in front of me, so l was able to walk it in about an hour. Perfect to scratch the itch. All in all, $9 (+$2 for a pull cart) will definitely entice me to return.

As a very new golfer… this place is VERY high stress ! Lots of houses around. Not a lot of room for error. I usually have no clue where I’m going to hit it. My husband and I ended up playing best ball and that made it a more fun experience. Not a lot of waiting on a Wednesday afternoon

The par three course helps me work on my approach shots and improve my midrange and short game. the nine holes are varied enough that it works on different aspects and skills.

Not perfect but dang fun for the money. Son and I golfed and even rented a pull cart for a grand total of $20! Only need a few irons and a putter as the course doesn’t have much length to any of the holes. Tee boxes are rough but it’s all good.
