Course Overview
Magnolia Golf Course, located in Savannah, Georgia, is an 18-hole public layout that offers a blend of challenge and approachability for golfers of varying skill levels. The course unfolds over gently rolling terrain peppered with mature trees and strategically placed bunkers that demand thoughtful shot selection. Designed as a parkland-style course, Magnolia balances fairness with tactical interest, rewarding accuracy both off the tee and on the greens.
The recent renovations have improved key aspects of the layout, including fairways that are now well-maintained and lush, providing a consistent playing surface throughout the round. While some greens remain firm and quick, their undulating surfaces require precision when reading putts, adding an engaging layer of complexity without overwhelming less experienced golfers.
Magnolia’s overall setting, bordered by suburban development and natural woodland, delivers occasional glimpses of native flora, which complement the course’s quiet ambiance despite nearby activity. Golfers should expect some noise fluctuations due to surrounding construction in parts of the property, but the central holes maintain a sense of focus and calm that many players appreciate.
The clubhouse stands out as a highlight, featuring spacious locker rooms, a well-appointed pro shop, and a welcoming lounge area ideal for post-round reflection. Practice facilities include a range with both driving and short game areas, perfect for warming up or sharpening specific shots before play.
Magnolia Golf Course invites a diverse audience, from beginners eager to improve their game to seasoned players who enjoy a test of accuracy and course management on a shorter, technically-oriented layout. Walking is encouraged, though discretion is advised given uneven cart paths and firm surfaces; sturdy golf shoes are recommended to maintain comfort throughout the round.
Overall, Magnolia represents a solid choice for a quality golf experience in Savannah, combining recent course enhancements with a practical layout that challenges without alienating. Visitors can expect a course that reflects steady care and thoughtful design, providing rewarding golf amid evolving surroundings.

you play more or less golf in a large construction site. It's noisy, the paths for golf carts are partly unpaved and the greens are often dried up and very hard. Overall, the condition is not particularly nice.
