Jack Ivey Ranch Golf & Country Club
Jack Ivey Ranch Golf & Country Club presents a relaxed 18-hole public course set against the desert backdrop of California’s Coachella Valley. Its approachable design blends gentle desert terrain with strategic bunkering, making it suitable for golfers seeking a straightforward yet engaging round.
Course Overview
Jack Ivey Ranch Golf & Country Club occupies a quiet corner south of Palm Springs, offering a modest yet inviting golf experience framed by the desert’s rugged charm. This 18-hole public course stretches just over 6,000 yards with a par of 72, delivering a layout that welcomes golfers of all skill levels without sacrificing moments of strategic interest. Its design reflects a straightforward approach to desert golf, with wide fairways and large greens that reward thoughtful shot placement more than raw power.
The course unfolds amid natural desert surroundings where creosote bushes and low-lying cacti border the fairways, lending an authentic Southwestern atmosphere. The terrain is gently rolling, inviting a rhythm of play that balances shotmaking with managing subtle elevation changes and occasional desert wind. While not a lengthy layout, Jack Ivey Ranch’s configuration demands focus on approach shots, as the greens are well protected by bunkers and subtle breaks.
One of the course’s appealing traits is its peaceful setting away from the bustle of nearby Palm Springs, creating an environment for a contemplative round or a casual day with family and friends. The practice facilities are commendable for a course of this size, featuring a driving range and putting area that allow players to fine-tune their game before heading out.
The clubhouse is modest and welcoming, with the CIAO ROOM restaurant open to both golfers and the public. It offers a pleasant spot to relax after your round, serving quality meals praised by visitors. Staff members are noted for their friendly and accommodating nature, adding to the overall sense that this course is more about genuine enjoyment than exclusivity.
For those planning a visit, walking is a viable option though golf carts are available; the balance of desert terrain and manageable yardage makes for comfortable walking conditions when equipped with appropriate footwear and sun protection. This is a course where the natural desert environment shapes your experience without overshadowing the fundamentals of good golf. Jack Ivey Ranch provides a straightforward, approachable desert golf outing with an atmosphere that invites repeat visits.

3/7/2023 4 pools , only one was heated which is fine but when you don’t heat that one so anyone can comfortably go in it . U mize well turn it off. Not one person in 3 days was able to go in . I think they turn it down more each day . This is not the way I wanted my vacation to be . So no it’s not a country club , it’s a small golf course. Very disappointed.

I'm a caregiver, and my client lives here, I'm sorry, I don't remember the gentleman's name at the gate, but he is a rare gem. He's the sweetest man ever. The place itself is very well taken care of and beautiful..
