Trappers Turn Golf Club
Trappers Turn Golf Club features three unique 18-hole courses set amid dramatic rock canyons, rolling parkland, and lakeside views. Designed for players seeking variety and scenic challenges, it blends well-maintained fairways with natural elevation and water hazards to create a memorable golf experience.
Course Overview
Trappers Turn Golf Club in Wisconsin Dells offers a versatile and immersive golfing experience shaped around three distinct 18-hole courses—Arbor, Canyon, and Lake—each presenting its own challenge and character. Set against the varied landscape of central Wisconsin, these courses blend natural rock formations, wooded areas, and water features to create a dynamic backdrop for players of all skill levels.
The Arbor course is known for its parkland-style layout, weaving through mature trees and open fairways that reward accuracy and strategic shot-making. Canyon course pushes players to navigate dramatic rock canyons and elevation changes, introducing a sense of adventure especially on the signature par-3 hole where tee shots are played from above into a green embraced by towering cliffs. The Lake course, as its name implies, brings in water hazards and panoramic views that demand precision and thoughtful club selection.
Greens and fairways receive consistent maintenance, ensuring solid playing conditions even during peak seasons. The terrain challenges low-handicappers with tight fairways and tricky greens, while still offering approachable tee placements for higher handicaps, making Trappers Turn inviting for a broad range of golfers.
The clubhouse anchors the golfing experience with full-service amenities including well-equipped locker rooms, comfortable dining spaces with views of the course, and attentive staff ensuring smooth pace of play. Practice facilities are centrally located and well designed, offering ample opportunity to warm up or polish short game skills.
Walking is encouraged, especially on the Arbor course, where gently rolling terrain is manageable for most players, while golf cart use is readily available across all courses. Multiple restrooms are placed thoughtfully on each course, maintaining player comfort through the round.
Visitors should anticipate premium green fees reflective of the course’s quality and distinctive setting, making it ideal for special occasions or memorable golf outings. Trappers Turn balances excitement and challenge within a naturally varied landscape, inviting players to engage fully with each shot and the striking environment surrounding them.
Course Highlights
Notable for its trio of distinctive courses—Arbor’s classic parkland style, Canyon’s dramatic signature par-3 over rocky gorges, and Lake’s challenging water features. The Canyon course’s elevation changes and natural rock formations add a rugged character rare in Wisconsin golf.

Second year visiting the new years eve buffet. This will definitely be our new years tradition. Food is always fresh and tastes phenomenal. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend. Even the price is reasonable for everything offered.

Went here for Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet. All the food was pretty good but you better come with an appetite! A nice setting if you want to celebrate any occasion.

It's the first time in quite a few years that we played the Canyon corse. Truly a great course. Their are three courses at Trappers. The coolest hole is the signature hole which is a par 3 that you tee off above the hole and hit the green that is nestled into a rock canyon on the sides.

This is a fun golf course. I played 18 on the Arbor/Canyon courses. Fairways and greens in excellent shape, despite playing during the height of busy season. Frequent and well-timed visits by the beverage cart. Good pace of play with our round wrapping up in just over 4 hours. The practice facilities are located centrally to the clubhouse and cart pickup/drop off. Carts cleaned between each user. Multiple on-course (real!) bathrooms are conveniently located. Clubhouse locker rooms have private toilets, changing rooms, a shower and towels. Bring your own toiletries. Lockers appear to be restricted to members only. Expect the visit to be a bit spendy. Greens fees of $119/player on a Saturday afternoon. A 12oz can of Leinekugel’s Summer Shandy will run you $8 pre-tip. A visit here is likely more of a special occasion rather than a regular visit. I’d love to return to play the lake course on a future visit. This is a really fun course with a variety of interesting layouts and beautiful landscapes.
