Lodi Golf Club

Lodi, Wisconsin, USACentral Wisconsin

Lodi Golf Club presents a scenic 9-hole public course that balances rolling hills with approachable play. Noted for its challenging elevation changes and serene views of Lake Wisconsin, this course offers a rewarding round for golfers seeking both natural beauty and thoughtful design.

Course Overview

Lodi Golf Club offers an engaging 9-hole public course that presents a distinctive blend of scenic elevation changes and approachable design. Situated in the countryside of Lodi, Wisconsin, the course spreads across rolling hills that frame views of lush fairways and the distant Lake Wisconsin, creating a quiet retreat for golfers of varying skill levels. While compact in yardage, this course demands precision, with fairways perched atop steep slopes on the closing holes that test both accuracy and course management.

The setting is predominantly parkland, with mature trees lining the fairways and natural contours shaping each hole's personality. From the tee boxes, players can scan the landscape, where undulations challenge drives and approach shots alike. The course’s overall character leans toward approachable play, welcoming beginners and recreational players, while rewarding more skilled golfers who can control ball flight on the tricky downhill and uphill lies.

While walking the course is possible, the significant elevation shifts, especially around holes 2, 3, 7, 8, and 9, suggest that renting a cart will enhance the experience for many. For those who choose to walk, sturdy shoes are recommended to handle the hills comfortably. Facilities are modest but functional, including a clubhouse that offers refreshments and a friendly staff ready to assist players.

Lodi Golf Club’s appeal lies not only in its affordability but also in its natural setting and fair challenge. The closing stretch along the hillside stands out for providing both a physical and mental test, requiring thoughtful club selection and controlled shots. Though the greens are known to play slightly slower, they maintain consistent quality, adding a strategic layer without frustration.

Whether you’re looking to enjoy a casual round with friends or work on your short game in an inviting environment, Lodi Golf Club delivers a memorable golf outing. Its scenic vistas, welcoming atmosphere, and unique topography offer an experience that stays with players long after the round is finished.

Tucked sweetly on the side of a hill overlooking green fairways, lush trees, and a view of Lake Wisconsin, you could do much worse than play a round at this wonderful 9-hole course. It’s relatively short but can accommodate longer hitters if you play from the tips. The challenge is keeping your ball in the fairway. Hitting it straight is only part of the issue, as at least 3 of the final 4 holes are played on a steeply sloping hillside. You’ve got to hit it so your ball STAYS on the fairway - much easier said than done. I highly recommend taking a cart. We didn’t. Remember that great view? You come down the hill on #2 and forget how far down you’ve come. Believe me, you remember as you head to #8 tee and again hogging it up to #9 tee. Oof. The clubhouse is nothing special, but they had plenty of cold beer and coolers for the course if you wanted one. Super friendly staff were very welcoming and thanked us for coming as we headed back to our cars. Midwestern niceness strikes again! The course was in great condition in mid-August and we vowed to come back before the season ends.

Grew up on this course. You cannot beat the views from the top, holes 1,2,7,8,9. Very hilly on 2,3,7,8, so not an easy walk, but doable if you like walking. Course typically in very nice shape, greens typically on a little bit of the slow side.
