Landa Park Golf Course presents a compact yet engaging 18-hole public layout in New Braunfels, combining water features, wildlife sightings, and well-maintained greens. This approachable course offers varied challenges for golfers of all abilities amid a scenic urban setting near the Guadalupe River.

Course Overview

Landa Park Golf Course in New Braunfels, Texas, delivers a vibrant golfing experience within a compact 18-hole layout that balances accessibility with engaging challenges. This public course weaves through a landscape influenced by the clear waters of the nearby Guadalupe River and subtle pockets of native Texan foliage, offering a scenic setting that surprises given its urban surroundings. The course’s design favors playability for golfers of all skill levels, with well-maintained fairways and fast, moderately contoured greens that invite thoughtful approach shots without overwhelming precision.

Although the yardage is on the shorter side, each hole brings unique elements that demand strategic attention. Early holes particularly stand out with water hazards that border fairways and two island greens that test nerves and shot-making alike. The course’s most distinctive feature is its relationship with the local environment; timed right, players may find themselves sharing the fairways with roaming deer, adding a rare touch of wildlife charm rarely experienced at a city course.

The topography lends a subtle variety, with elevation changes giving nose for carrying shots and sightlines that reward careful club selection. Noteworthy holes such as the uphill par-3 at hole 10 introduce a refreshing shift in pace, combining visual drama with shot-making intrigue. While the holes are positioned tightly and occasionally in proximity to roads and neighboring developments, the overall pace and flow remain manageable.

Facilities include a modern clubhouse where players can register and prepare before their round. Though beverage cart service is reportedly inconsistent, the clubhouse bar offers a reliable option to hydrate before and after play. Golf carts are equipped with GPS and Bluetooth capabilities, enhancing navigation and enjoyment throughout the round. Walking is allowed but, given the compact layout and terrain, many players find cart use practical, especially during warmer months.

Landa Park Golf Course suits golfers looking for a well-kept course with picturesque water features and wildlife moments without extended travel from San Antonio or New Braunfels. It shines as a city gem where pace, condition, and friendly challenges come together for a rewarding day on the links.

I really like this course, it’s beautiful, affordable, and playing with deer walking around the fairways is honestly a vibe. But man, the beverage cart service sucks. I’ve played here over 10 times and never once seen it on the course. You can even call the clubhouse and they still don’t sort it out. So don’t count on it, just grab your drinks at the clubhouse before teeing off.

This course is beautiful! The whole course was in great shape. One hole had some construction going on. We will be coming back! The wildlife is awesome and the carts were pretty cool with gps, phone Bluetooth for music and you can keep score.

Easily best city course there is between San Antonio and New Braunfels. Greens are always fast and well kept, and they have challenging hole layouts with river and pond features. Holes 2-5 all have river or pond features with hole 2 and 4 having an island green which is super cool. $54 during prime time is unmatched for the quality of the course. Featured in the photo is hole 10, super uphill par 3, really fun and challenging. Course is pretty short in terms of length but honestly I don’t mind it.

A thesis in mediocrity. The course is well maintained and particularly nice for being in such a dry area and in an extended drought. The carts we clean and mostly well maintained. The staff inside were snippy, and it was as if we had offended them by playing golf. Some odd course rules where we had to have two bags per cart even if they weren't being used. So we rented an empty bag and we rented a set of ladies clubs (no ladies in our group) to tote along. With the rules complied to now we had a bag per person, even if they were for kids who were mostly riding along and played a combined 12 holes (yes we had already payed for each of them to play the full 18). The holes are crowded together and stacked one on another, which resulted in errant shots screaming by too many times for comfort or people playing into and from your fairway due to their poor shots. We were hit into three different times in spite of our pace being 3-12 minutes ahead. Lots of wildlife as well, which helps you forget you're wedged between roads, an amusement park, and a neighborhood.
