Course Overview

Lighthouse Country Club offers a compelling 18-hole layout that strikes a balance between challenge and accessibility just outside Kingsland, Texas. This members-only facility appeals to golfers seeking a well-maintained course with variety in design and a relaxed, welcoming environment. Positioned in the rolling Hill Country, the terrain is gentle yet engaging, with fairways that weave through natural contours and greens that demand thoughtful approach shots. The hole layouts on the front nine stand out for their strategic mix, testing every aspect of your game with a blend of risk-reward choices, elevation shifts, and water hazards that come into play. The back nine takes on a more straightforward aspect, focusing on precision and consistent shotmaking, which remains satisfying for players scoring mid to low handicaps.

The course plays firm and fast when the Texas sun is high. Fairways are well-defined, and the turf holds consistent throughout the year, inviting players to plot their way through each hole with confidence. Beyond the fairways, Lighthouse Country Club features excellent practice facilities and a clubhouse that comfortably serves members with casual dining and a friendly atmosphere. While food options are lighter, they are reasonably priced and perfect for quick refreshment after rounds. The staff is noted for their attentiveness, further enriching the playing experience.

Golfers looking to walk will find the course manageable on foot, with cart paths available and shoes suited to varied terrain recommended. The layout welcomes a range of skill levels but holds particular appeal for players who enjoy courses that reward thoughtful shot placement without overwhelming them with difficulty.

Nice golf course. Good fairways and greens roll well and hold the line. Some driving holes were tight. It was a good choice for our golf group on a recent trip to Marble Falls.

Course is in good to excellent condition. The front 9 was very engaging to play with a good variety of hole types and design. The back 9 isn't as great, with fairly straight holes and little variation. Staff was excellent. Food options are light but priced well and take care of the need. A good option if you'd like to get away from the busy courses in Austin/San Antonio.

Challenging course, had a great time playing in a tournament to help a friend. Sadly some damage from the current flooding, but still a great course to play. Staff was awesome!
