Golf Club of Tennessee

Kingston Springs, Tennessee, USACentral Tennessee

The Golf Club of Tennessee presents a refined 18-hole private course shaped by natural terrain and thoughtful routing. Its challenging yet approachable layout offers fast greens, strategic bunkering, and serene woodland vistas that appeal to golfers seeking a high-quality, walking-friendly experience.

Course Overview

Located in Kingston Springs, the Golf Club of Tennessee offers an exceptional private golf experience set amid rolling terrain that honors the natural landscape of the region. This 18-hole championship course challenges players with a thoughtful combination of elevation changes, strategically placed bunkers, and fast, true greens that reward precision and shotmaking. The course’s routing utilizes the site’s natural contours, requiring players to navigate uphill and downhill lies while maintaining control over trajectory and distance.

The fairways are generous yet guarded by tight groups of bunkers and native grasses, demanding careful planning off the tee. Greens vary in size and complexity, often featuring subtle breaks that test putting skills while encouraging thoughtful green reading. While demanding in design, the course remains approachable for mid to low handicappers who appreciate a layout that balances risk and reward without resorting to gimmicks.

Scenery plays a subtle but compelling role here. The surrounding woodlands and open meadows create a quiet environment free from residential distractions, allowing players to focus fully on their game and the ever-changing moods of the Tennessee sky. The course’s design respects its natural setting rather than imposing on it, creating a sense of calm strategy with every shot.

Beyond the course, the club’s practice facilities set a high bar, with expansive ranges and short game areas that cater to deliberate practice or warm-ups before a round. The clubhouse reflects a refined yet rustic charm, offering spaces to relax and socialize after play, with attentive staff enhancing every aspect of the visit.

For players who value a private setting where quality of design and natural beauty merge seamlessly, the Golf Club of Tennessee stands out. The walking-friendly layout allows players to move comfortably at their own pace, making it ideal for those who enjoy a measured, thoughtful round. Its blend of terrain, challenge, and service defines an experience that demands both respect and rewards skill.

This course is a great layout, has many beautiful views throughout, perfect and very fast greens, and really plays on the natural terrain. There are no houses on the course. The staff is 5 star across the board. The practice facilities are the best I have ever practiced on.
