Franklin Bridge Golf Club

Franklin, Tennessee, USACentral Tennessee

Franklin Bridge Golf Club combines an executive-length, precision-focused layout with welcoming Southern hospitality. This public 18-hole course offers both a strategic challenge and approachable playability on gently rolling terrain amid mature trees and water features.

Course Overview

Franklin Bridge Golf Club in Franklin, Tennessee, offers a distinctive golf experience that balances approachable design with warm Southern hospitality. This public 18-hole course sprawls across gently rolling terrain, providing a setting that is both inviting to higher handicaps and engaging enough for more seasoned players. The layout is notable for its executive-length yardage, which challenges precision over brute strength. With par falling around 64 and total yardage close to 4,200 yards, it encourages strategy and shot-making, rewarding an accurate short game around well-protected greens.

The course’s natural undulations add subtle elevation changes that create visual interest without overwhelming less experienced golfers. Its fairways are lined by mature trees and punctuated frequently by water hazards that demand keen judgment off the tee and on approach shots. Franklin Bridge earns praise not only for its playability but for the quality of maintenance that keeps the greens and tee boxes in consistently strong condition.

Many players find the pace of play sometimes stretched due to the honest test it presents and the club’s popularity, especially on weekends. However, the overall atmosphere remains relaxed and friendly, shaped significantly by staff who deliver attentive service reminiscent of a private club environment. The clubhouse itself is a hub of comfort and camaraderie, featuring a bar and grill that earns commendations for its food and beverage offerings—perfect for unwinding after a round.

Practice facilities include a well-maintained driving range with mat hitting stations and a chipping area that allow players to polish fundamentals before setting out. One noted area for improvement is the putting green, which guests have found in need of renovation to better prepare their strokes on the course.

For golfers aiming to blend a serious game with a functional, welcoming environment, Franklin Bridge provides a solid choice in the greater Nashville region. It suits those who look for accessible golf with a polished feel, where every visit can be both approachable and memorable. Planning for midweek or less busy tee times will enhance the experience, making it easier to enjoy the course’s flow and Southern charm.

Course Highlights

Franklin Bridge distinguishes itself through its executive-length layout that emphasizes shot accuracy and short game finesse. Key elements include water hazards framing several holes and well-bunkered greens demanding careful approach shots. The course accommodates beginners and intermediate players while still offering tactical depth for low handicappers. The friendly staff and quality clubhouse amenities contribute to an experience that rivals private club hospitality.

This is one of the best public run golf courses in the area. The bar is sensational. The food is great. The course is magnificent sometimes too crowded. I would avoid weekends but generally this is a really well-run establishment almost private club kind of service. As I've been a member of several private clubs, I would say the service is terrific. The range, although you have to hit off Matt's is just fine and they've got a chipping area where you can come out of sand and practice. It really is sensational. Perhaps the only drawback is the putting green which really needs some help. The practice putting green behind the driving range needs improvement, but I still gave it five stars

I’d be shocked at what experience anyone else had if they are not giving Franklin’s Bridge 5 stars. You want Southern Hospitality? Franklin Bridge! You want to have a fantastic round, good pace of play, and a great track? Franklin Bridge. Honestly, they could not have done more for our group of 12. John was amazing from the start of our communication and the team on the day followed through what he started. No one accepted a tip, thanks was enough! Unreal! From Adam Fisher-Titus and the group in early May, thank you. You’ve got golfers for life now when we’re in the South.

Came out for a mini scramble with some buddies - the course was in gorgeous condition and the starters and marshals had things moving like clockwork. Pace of play was just as advertised, and special shoutout to David for helping the guys settle a tie! Customer service was above and beyond and can’t wait to play the course again!

Course is in great shape. Tee boxes are near perfect. Pro shop is great, staff are good, and getting a burger + beer + chips + range balls included with your round is a nice touch. The carts have the nicest seats I’ve ever experienced But as always, the knock on this place is price and pace of play. It’s a very short course, so you’re necessarily waiting on most holes to hit, and doing so for ~5hrs gets tiresome quick Couple that with the $100+ you’ll pay for most rounds and it can be hard to justify. It’s a nice little executive course, but if I’m playing Gaylord prices, I’m looking for a Gaylord experience, and the complimentary burgers only go so far

Phenomenal hospitality. Amazing course. David took care of our 12 person scramble and made sure the whole party was taken care of. 10/10 recommend.

By far the best public course in middle TN. Course is well maintained, includes a hot dog or burger and beer with your green fee, great practice area, marshalls are super friendly, and pace of play is solid. Also, the performance center is top notch. I went from not being able to hit a golf ball whatsoever to breaking 100 in 6 months by getting lessons with Scott Hasse!
