Breckenridge Golf Club

Breckenridge, Colorado, USACentral Rockies

Breckenridge Golf Club’s three distinct nine-hole courses offer a mountain golf experience marked by stunning views, balanced layouts, and true greens. The club’s welcoming atmosphere and varied playability make it a top choice for players seeking both challenge and charm in Colorado’s alpine setting.

Course Overview

Perched at an elevation that gifts it expansive mountain panoramas, Breckenridge Golf Club offers a distinctive blend of natural beauty and thoughtful design across its three nine-hole courses: Bear, Beaver, and Moose. This semi-private resort facility, located in the heart of Colorado’s alpine setting, presents an engaging challenge framed by the towering Rockies and crisp mountain air. Each nine holes boasts a carefully balanced layout that rewards strategic shotmaking while accommodating a broad range of skill levels.

The Bear and Beaver courses provide contrasting yet complementary experiences. Bear is inviting with generous fairways and subtly contoured greens, encouraging players to attack pins without undue penalty. Beaver leans slightly more toward precision, with tighter landing areas and well-placed bunkers that test both accuracy and course management. The Moose course completes the trio with a blend of both styles and has become a favorite for those seeking variety within a single round.

Greens at Breckenridge roll true with a pace that enhances approach shots and putting alike, making the short game a crucial part of success here. The altitude adds an extra dimension, as balls carry differently and the cool climate often keeps fairways firm, demanding a calibrated approach to club selection.

Beyond the course, the practice facility features a driving range and short game area ideal for warming up or honing specific shots. A clubhouse offers comfortable amenities for relaxation and dining after rounds, with staff known for their attentiveness and friendly service. Golf carts and walking options coexist, accommodating personal preferences and encouraging players to experience the mountain air in their preferred style.

Breckenridge Golf Club is tailored to golfers looking for a scenic mountain golf outing that blends spirited play with natural surroundings. Its playability ensures it remains accessible to mid-handicaps while offering low handicappers the opportunity to test their shot-shaping and course management skills. Whether visiting from near or far, this course stands out as a destination where mountain golf rises beyond just the landscape, becoming a genuine part of the game’s appeal.

Course Highlights

Beautiful course, with views from almost every hole. Course staff was helpful and made sure the round was enjoyable. There was a player assistant cruising the course, there if you needed anything. Green ran fast, which added a good challenge. Jack Nicklaus never fails.

Great Jack Nicklaus design with three nine hole courses. They do have a golf range as well. Really friendly staff and awesome scenery.

This is a phenomenal golf course. I played the Beaver/Bear combo when I played. There are mountain views everywhere and some gorgeous holes. Course is in great shape and the greens rolled true. Twilight rate is a great value, including green fee, cart, and range balls. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
