Plainfield Country Club

Edison, New Jersey, USACentral New Jersey

Plainfield Country Club offers an 18-hole private parkland layout blending strategic design with natural New Jersey scenery. Its balanced challenge appeals to golfers of all skill levels, supported by refined member amenities and a course that rewards thoughtful play.

Course Overview

Plainfield Country Club, located just outside Edison in Central New Jersey, presents a compelling blend of classic golf design and approachable challenge across its 18-hole layout. As a private championship course, it offers members a refined setting where mature trees frame the fairways and gently undulating greens reward thoughtful shot-making. This parkland-style course balances natural elevation changes with strategic bunkering, creating an engaging test that remains inviting for golfers of varied skill levels.

The course’s routing encourages players to navigate a harmonious flow, moving from tighter, accuracy-focused holes to those demanding length and creativity. The terrain supports a steady pace of play without sacrificing complexity, making it suitable for both dedicated low handicaps seeking to sharpen their strategy and mid-handicap players aiming to build confidence in shot selection. Throughout the round, gently rolling hills offer glimpses of well-kept water features and classic New Jersey foliage, providing a sense of calm that complements the competitive spirit.

Plainfield Country Club’s facilities complement the course intensity with a clubhouse that provides ample amenities for members, including dining and locker room services. The grounds are maintained year-round, allowing for consistent playing conditions, with seasonal tips suggesting spring and early fall as optimal times to enjoy the course before New Jersey’s summer humidity peaks or winter frost sets in.

Members enjoy walking the course, a policy that encourages a more traditional experience, and the terrain supports this well with minimal strenuous climbs and well-positioned resting spots. Golf carts are available on request but walking remains encouraged to savor the subtle challenges the course presents. The club’s emphasis on a respectful dress code and caddie availability adds to the overall atmosphere of tradition and camaraderie.

Offering a blend of classic design and member-focused care, Plainfield Country Club stands as a testament to enduring golf values in Central New Jersey. It cultivates a playing experience where precision meets playability, and every shot requires intention. Those invited onto its fairways can expect a round that challenges without overwhelming, with a landscape that invites focus and enjoyment in equal measure.

It was a nice stay! We stayed in the south palm tower. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool wasn't available but they offered access to the water park area. I love that there is a bar right downstairs, along with a restaurant for late eating. Definitely would stay here again for the price! Thanks y'all!

It’s a great Northern Casino. They’ve got slots, a real table Pit with Blackjack, Craps, Roulette. There is a Sports Betting side room. Top tier Casino action. There is a showroom where the layout and size are appropriate to ensure everyone has a good view. I’ve seen concerts and stand up shows here. The Hotel rooms are exactly what you would expect. There is a 18+ pool room that features a Hot tub, Dry Sauna, Steam Room and a Salt Water Pool. There is Splash Island. A small fee to get it but seems nice. A couple of slides, child friendly pool, splash area and another hot tub. Lifeguards. There is an RV park along the back of the parking lot. There is Casino shuttle available. Really good priced, powered. The Breakfast restaurant is good. Providing staple breakfast offerings.

I normally don’t feel the need for any of this, but my disappointment in this establishment is profound. Brittany (with the fat mole) at the front desk on 5/20/2025 had THE WORST attitude and was not helpful at all. I’m a club member and had a discount. It instantly slurred, “that’s not the right price” I don’t know if she has something going on at home or possibly under the influence, but taking whatever issues she has on customers is crazy. I think management should talk to her. Definitely will not be coming back based off her.

If you're looking for a golf trip with no concerns about gambling then this place is great. If you're interested in gambling at all, don't go here. It is almost impossible to get a seat a table game unless you wait for multiple hours. We have been here two nights and there have been multiple tables available with about 20 people waiting and they won't open a table. In my opinion they don't open tables so that more people will play slot machines.

I was passing through And saw this Casino with ample enough parking for a semi And decided to take a break And play a few games I’m not a slot player but I did try my luck at the tables. They had 10$ two deck no mid entry pitch blackjack game. I played for about one hours just enough to give me a break from the road. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was great.

Great casino for the Upper Peninsula! They had restaurants open late until 1pm which is handy if you are on a roll in the casino. The food at 1am wasn't exceptional but it was prompt and the service was excellent. The machine selection was fantastic for a UP casino and the payouts were amazing, even on smaller bets. Good drinks and a clean environment. They could stand to clean out the smoking area machines more consistently, and tone down the smoke flavor on the burgers - the burgers were made on a flat top but seemed to be sprayed with smoke flavoring to make it taste like it came from a grill. It was not to my taste but others might appreciate it. Couldn't lose on the slot machines, jackpots and bonuses hit consistently and the payouts were excellent. Won over 80 free games on a Buffalo slot, winning almost $500 on an .80 bet. Our visit was just a pop-in while passing through. We had an amazing time and would like to return to experience the hotel and spa services!
