Right from the beginning, this was a top notch experience. The golf shop was friendly, helpful and informative. Range is great with a nice short game area. Putting practice green is large with many holes. And all of that is before the amazing course and great golfing experience! Cannot recommend enough!

Spyglass is a real treat. From the start you get an ocean side course with the beauty of the Pacific. The back half of the course is a challenging tree-lined course with some very cool holes that you will love. A lot of people say that Spyglass is better than Pebble. In my opinion, if you are playing the courses just once each, I’m not sure I would agree with that. The views and some of the holes at Pebble are just more memorable. However over the course of many rounds, it is a good debate for sure. If you are headed out to Pebble, you have to try to play Spyglass.

All in all, a great course and a must if you are an avid golfer. So much history here and it’s always great to tee it up where the pros play yearly. The course was in 8.5/10 shape. The greens are rolling great and the fairways and tee boxes are super pure. The starter never told us that 14 and 15 are changed and used temporary greens since there is construction happening on 15, it was fine but very unexpected. The only thing I had an issue with is that the bunker sand depth was pretty inconsistent. Some bunkers were fluffy when others were super firm and had maybe an inch of sand in them.

Absolutely beautiful golf course. Love the mix of links style golf with treelined holes. It's almost like two smaller golf courses combined. It's just a gorgeous challenge. Hint... check the trees on #6 for a booze box. :)

Love the course, my caddie was awesome, my playing partners' caddie was awesome, the pace of play was even better than I expected... but $525 for a round of golf? I paid it, but I likely won't do it again. One of my biggest frustrations regarding my round was that one of their iconic par 3 holes, the 15th, was completely unplayable at the time of my visit. It was not mentioned on their website in either the Course Notices section, the hole-by-hole description, or anywhere else I could find. Instead of playing the 15th, they shortened the par 5 14th, built a very nice temporary green in the middle of the fairway, and then used the actual 14th green to receive tee shots from the new temporary 15th tee. A very similar thing happened to me at Pebble Beach last year with a new green being built for the 6th, but at least I got to play each hole there. If I'm going to pay full price for a round, I should get to play the full course. Or, they should tell me when I call to take my reservation that part of the course is under construction, or they should post it in a prominent place on their website, so I can make an informed decision before they take that much of my money. They don't let you cancel within 14 days, so you're stuck if you get there and find out something will be missing from your round. It was a good golf experience overall, but to me, WAY overpriced, especially considering I couldn't even play the whole course. Definitely a bucket list item checked off, but I don't think they'll be earning repeat business from me. Hope you have better luck and schedule at a time when the course is not under construction! However, given this happened to me at both Pebble and Spyglass in consecutive years, I am going to guess this is a recurring theme at Pebble Beach golf properties. Good luck to you, and if you go, enjoy your round!
