Course is beautiful. Lady who answers the phone and front desk is lovely. Man at the front desk who opened the course was EXTREMELY condescending and rude. It started at the very beginning when we arrived for our early tee time, no one was at the front desk for 7 minutes, he then criticized us for starting 5 mins late. At the 9th hole we bought drinks, when he told us our timing was “unacceptable.” There was one group behind us who we let pass on an otherwise empty course. Apparently he didn’t care about that. I said thank you as I was leaving and this man continued to make snarky comments about timing under his breath, not to the men at my group but to me and the kind woman he works with. He told me that an average time for the course was 4 hours. With my group accommodating 2 beginners, we finished at 4.5 hours. It was a beautiful day at a nice course, and this guy did his very best to make it unpleasant and uncomfortable. Honestly he made me not want to come back. But you’re probably fine going if you’re not a woman.

This is a great little course with some challenging twists and turns, all tucked into a very scenic spot in Hinsdale. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, and they emphasize the fun side of the game.

So to start when I called to book the woman on the phone was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. We arrive and no one is at the front desk. After about a 7 minute wait a man shows up to check us in (just about exactly when our tee time is). We purchase a few beverages for the course and as we leave he makes a comment to one of the woman of the group that we are taking to long. It was ignored and we continued. The course itself is beautiful we started early because we had a few beginners in there he group and we would have been a little slower. There was one group of two that was behind us and we let them pass. At the 9th hole we purchased more drinks and the man once again made a comment that we were moving slow (the one group of two we let pass at the 3rd hole) we politely told him we let one group pass early and there was no one behind us and carried on. Finished the back 9 once again it’s an absolutely beautiful course. Finished up and there was a woman behind the desk who was absolutely wonderful so we thanked her and went on our way. One of the woman in the group said goodbye and the man once again made another rude comment to her. The woman quickly smoothed it over but I want them to know that he made us feel (especially the woman) uncomfortable and unwelcome.

I use to love golfing here before I got to know the Old owner and Sue more. I came across some members while I was playing my hole who were very rude and started rushing me while saying snide comments. My girl sitting in the golf cart even felt uncomfortable. I said what I said defended myself and moved on. I come back week later because I forgot my cooler but the owner and coworker sided with the members saying I was starting stuff which was totally false and banned me for a year. I tried to say my part about the situation but the owner told me “Do you expect me to believe you over my people” I told him “so what you’re going to let your members get a way with murder then?” Then they changed the subject and used the fact that I brought a cooler of beer which I did apologize for but they continued to hammer me for it. I hate pulling the race card but I felt like I got racial profiled the minute I walked through the door to get my Cooler. The lady at the desk Sue kept saying she didn’t believe a word I was saying and wanted nothing to do with me. I had no idea what I was dealing with. I had no say for anything because they automatically sided with the members. It was such an unprofessional way of managing things. I didn’t appreciate the way they treated me and after my last experience I found out this is a terrible place to golf. Don’t waste your money going there. (The owner is definitely trying to excuse their behavior and the way they handled the situation. I’ve always come to every golf course with respect . I’ve never heard anybody getting banned for bringing a cooler of beer 1 time. Let’s be adults, they could have easily told me not to do it again. The weed situation is funny to me. They went searching through my lunch box and found an old little bag of pot that was like 2 yrs old and wasn’t even smoked on the course. I definitely felt like I got racially profiled even if I did or not that was just the vibe. They were fishing for stuff to hit me with so they can ban me off of poor judgment . They keep disregarding the fact they had members with poor golf etiquette heckling at my girlfriend and I because they came to you first about it. Like why would my girl and I start stuff with random members or anybody? The fact that those members said something to save there butts is asinine. We’re not that kind of people but you made it seem that way. Just because someone buys a membership doesn’t give them the right to act however to fellow golfers, and Just because you have only a couple people in your family of color means nothing. You just sound more racist for saying that. Thanks for that comment. Everybody was very friendly besides that group of members and I have witnesses. When the old guy I think is the owner said to me “ You think I’m going to believe you over my people” I was baffled from such a diabolical question .)
