Seascape Golf Course

Edison, New Jersey, USACentral New Jersey

Plainfield Country Club offers an 18-hole private championship course with a classic layout set amid well-maintained parkland. Designed for golf enthusiasts seeking a blend of strategic holes and timeless appeal, it provides a fulfilling round for players at all levels.

Course Overview

Seascape Golf Course in Miramar Beach, Florida, offers a compact and approachable option for golfers seeking a quick round near the Gulf Coast. This 9-hole public course provides a straightforward layout with wide fairways and relatively short holes, making it accessible for beginners and casual golfers looking to sharpen their game without committing to a full 18 holes. The course’s setting on Florida’s Emerald Coast offers a warm climate year-round, but its terrain primarily reflects practical design rather than scenic grandeur.

While Seascape does not boast the manicured appearance of higher-end resort courses, it maintains fairway surfaces that encourage playability. However, visitors should note that some greens show signs of wear and vary in consistency, which may influence putting strategies and shot choices. Cart paths are present but can be challenging in spots, so golfers who prefer to navigate on foot should prepare accordingly. The pace of play is generally brisk, often allowing for a round in under four hours.

This course is a popular stop for nearby residents and visitors staying in Destin-area condos, appreciated for its value and friendly service. The clubhouse includes a modest pro shop and a small bar area, though beverage and food offerings are limited, so bringing personal refreshments is advisable. Staff members are reported to be welcoming and helpful, enhancing the experience despite some operational shortcomings.

Seascape Golf Course’s appeal centers on providing a convenient, no-frills round of golf rather than an elaborate sporting challenge. Its layout avoids imposing hazards and extreme difficulty, making it suitable for golfers of all skill levels who prioritize accessibility and affordability. Those seeking a pristine resort-style course or a demanding championship test may want to explore other venues in the region.

Planning a visit to Seascape means balancing realistic expectations with the opportunity to enjoy a casual golf outing near one of Florida’s most popular beach destinations. For those focused on quick access and a reasonable rate, the course serves as a practical option to keep clubs in play while taking in subtropical coastal surroundings.

Course Highlights

The course blends traditional parkland design elements with expansive greens guarded by strategically placed bunkers. Signature holes include the par-5 13th with its challenging dogleg right and elevated green, demanding precise tee shots and approach play. Mature trees and gentle rolling fairways frame the layout, reinforcing the course’s emphasis on shot-making rather than length.

For the price and convenient location, this is a great little 9-hole course. Would definitely recommend and come back next time we visit Destin!

Location was convenient to our condo location and I was playing with my son who is 17 and is a beginner. Easy to get a tee time online. Price was about $70/per so it was the cheapest around the area. I gave it three stars due to the overall condition of the tees and greens. Like other comments here, the white tees were beat up and sanded heavily. Probably due to the heavy play from that tee box. Greens were inconsistent and brown in many spots. I found the short layout interesting. Fairways were generous and well kept. Quick get around in about 3.5 hours. Staff was very nice.

This course is probably the worst golf course I've ever played. For Florida prices it's pretty reasonable. Golf course is a 1/10 however the staff was friendly and that's rare in a pro shop nowadays. I'd recommend a starter. Everyone was playing up on each other within an hour after opening.

Save your time and money and go to a different course. This place is run-down and only has 9 holes to play. I’ve been trying it out for the last couple of weeks because it’s close to our condo and I would definitely not recommend. Not to mention they advertise a bar but never have anything to make any drinks, bring your own food and drinks if you have no other choice but to come to this place. The bartender is so sweet every-time I go and does what she can with what she has which is not much (no limes, no mixers, no food that they advertise). Just overall lacking in every area from the course to the bar, this place is a mess.

Proshop and club service were great. Starter was nice and helpful as well. We got a discounted rate of $30 and I can see why they are one of the cheaper courses in the area. For a resort course, I was expecting a bit more. Not disappointed, but definitely not blown away. A handful of their greens were just awful. I wouldn't play here again. I would check out other courses around the Destin area. Check another off the list though 😎

It is the worst golf course ever the greens are terrible and there is trash everywhere. There are also random holes on the fairway and customer service is okay. The golf carts are terrible the stop working and sometimes it just stops.

This course is appropriately priced. It’s awful. They know it, you know it, they know you know it. Every single hole looks and smells like someone only the night before deep fried blue cheese, subsequently got the sharts while on the green and just went to town all over the place. Navigating the cart paths was equivalent to bouldering on a deserted trail in northern Nevada in a supped up jeep—which sounds like a lot of fun except you’re in a golf cart. I’d go lower than a 1 star if available, but the course was appropriately priced and aptly smelled as bad as my golf game.

Decent layout for only 9 holes. Conditions aren’t great, greens are in below average shape, tee boxes/fairways are in average shape at best. You get what you pay for.
