Experience of a lifetime. Incredible scenery with gators and deer all around. VERY windy day, but it was a wonderful time. The boys’ caddie (I believe his name was Gary), was truly wonderful.

A top course in the world. The whole experience lives up to the hype. Clubhouse/bar/restaurant: great selection and conveniently located. We found the pub to have the best food selection. Practice facility: walk out to the putting/chipping area along the ocean side. Relaxing and convenient. Course: a new feel on every hole. Great conditions tee to green. Wildlife and surrounding areas makes the experience even more enjoyable. Pros: memorable layout and hole designs. Extremely challenging in a great way, as the tee shots are forgiving enough. Not a terrible walk, and there are shuttles at 1 & 10 to help. Cons (but not all that bad): get a caddy, I did not have one. Extremely slopped around greens. Some lies are nearly unplayable due to banks, hidden hazard type areas that aren't necessarily out of play. Some green side bunker/waste areas are very firm, not an issue in the fairway, but can be challenging greenside.

Course is an amazing layout, if you ever get the chance to play. Do it. With that said, I hadn't visited in a couple years, but had a friend in town that played yesterday and we met this afternoon for a couple drinks at the clubhouse. We met on the range after his round and I have to say that the conditions of it were pretty awful to say the least. The teeing ground was set in a place where there was barely any grass, due to excessive divots and use. The ground was completely unlevel, and no real signs of attempting to level it in the past with basic landscaping or sand leveling / no grass to actually hit off of - It was basically a few blades short of hard pan. Not to mention the targets on the range, bunkers, and greens show little to no effort to maintain those either after they redid the range about 7 or 8 years ago. After that, he went over to hit a couple putts on the practice green and that green was also struggling. Patches of bare areas throughout the green were also not characteristic of a top listed world golf course. I felt bad for him coming down here with high expectations of a pristine golf course while customers are paying $600 to $700 plus dollars to play during peak season, it's really not a good look. As far as the course goes he said it was in okay shape as well, which it shouldn't be, it should be in fantastic shape for that amount of money. Just so disappointing seeing the course have much better days and experiences in year's past. Hopefully they'll focus more on the details and first impressions for the guests.

Overall great experience start to finish from bag drop to the 18th hole + the 19th at the Ryder Cup bar. This course has teeth and is visually and physically extremely tough! It’s a must play for avid golfers. Shout out to my caddie Sean, great guy, breaking 80 was a dream. Thanks Ocean Course for the hospitality and challenge.

Played the ocean course yesterday afternoon. It is definitely worth the hype! I was linked up with the forecaddie, Skylar. He was awesome! Made the experience so much fun and helped navigate the course. He was a great hype boy! And so patient with my requests to take 192840103893 photos. I hope to play again :)

The Ocean Course is nothing short of spectacular. With incredibly small greens, this course demands precision and touch on every approach. Your short game must be razor-sharp—there’s no room for error around the greens. The front nine played into a strong wind that exaggerated any slice, while the back nine punished hook shots with equally intense gusts in the opposite direction. It’s a course where the wind is not just a factor—it’s the main character. I truly love Pete Dye’s design philosophy. His courses challenge you mentally, and The Ocean Course might be his finest example. Every hole tells a story, and none more so than the iconic 17th. Much like TPC Sawgrass’s famous island green, the 17th here is a masterpiece set against the vast Atlantic. This is a course you’ll respect, remember, and want to return to—even if it humbles you.
