Best public course I’ve played. Very well-maintained, and you can tell it’s expertly managed. More than just a round of golf—it’s an experience. Worth every penny, I’ll be back again.

One of my top 3 public courses in eastern Massachusetts. The greens and fairways are always tip top. The food shack has a great variety of food and snacks. The hotdogs are as good as any I've had!

My first time playing here and truly enjoyed the experience! I’ve seen some great content on social media through their accounts so had to come and experience it for myself. This course is so beautiful! It’s very well taken care of. The hospitality was fabulous as well, a wonderful young man Adrian welcomed us to the course and was so positive. You can tell he enjoys working there and it really shows, creating a fabulous atmosphere. I highly recommend this course to anyone, it’s challenging but also a lot of fun as it’s unique with features like teeing off from the roof of a small building, optional tee box shots with different views or over water and a golf cart drive through store for drinks and snacks. Overall was an incredible experience and I’m looking forward to returning!

1st time playing today at Shaker. Course was in great shape. A lot of great views, and fun challenges. We were pleasantly approached by Fred (the owner) who stopped to talk to us about the course and our experience. He was giving a tour to a set of golfers who were visiting the course today. I watched him drive them to different holes and discuss the different layouts. The drive thru snack shack will NOT disappoint. There was something there for everyone. And it was strategically placed so you can hit it on the front and back 9 (Well Done). The carts were comfortable and quiet. And once again the course was in GREAT shape. Thank you Fred and your staff for a great experience.

Pretty disappointed. Was so pumped to play this course and finally making a $160 commitment to play a round. Everything was great until the fourth hole when we were asked to pick up the pace. Previous group went out 10 minutes early and we went off on time so at the beginning was already at a 30 minute gap. Group behind was a hole and half behind us and we play ready golf. Round time was 2:20 at the turn and finished just under 4:45. We were constant harassed the whole time. Saying we were behind when we were not. It seems to be a constant issue at this place and the generic reply to all the bad reviews are the same and they just copy and paste. Let people enjoy the course and play golf if you are going to ask a premium. I find it hard to believe this was rated the top golf course probably an award they bought or are self proclaimed. Honestly don’t waste your money you can get better service at a normal course. Total waste!

I took a lesson with PJ and it significantly helped my ball striking in just one lesson. Looking forward to going back for more including some short game specific work.

Lots of gimmick shots. No breakfast food inside and no beverage carts or drive thru until 10AM. Sprinklers came on on 2 holes while in the fairway. We waited on the tee for the group in front to wait for the group in front of them, and they were both in the fairway. Grounds were in great condition, and that's the only thing that was good.

Lesson with PJ Barbella, Assistant Professional. While I was basically pleased with my golf game, I was looking for some "tweaks" that would take my game to the next level. I contacted PJ and he immediately responded with detailed questions about my game, physical condition, and specifically what I was hoping to achieve. I could not have been more pleased with the lesson and what I was able to accomplish based upon his guidance. In summary: a simple adjustment added to length and accuracy off the tee; his suggestions have improved my putting accuracy; my approach game is now becoming a strength instead of a glaring weakness; finally, some suggested exercises totaling 5 minutes a day have not only made me feel better, but have greatly improved my "turn." Having said all this I really enjoyed the nature of the instruction. PJ was supportive without being condescending. Within a month I have now recorded my personal best score at Shaker. Over time I have taken lessons from a variety of golf instructors and have never seen the results that I have experienced from this one lesson.
