Course Overview

Seward Community Golf Course offers a straightforward yet rewarding 9-hole experience located in Seward, Nebraska. This public course is an accessible option for golfers seeking a well-maintained layout without the pressure of high difficulty or excessive hazards. Its generous fairways and straightforward design accommodate players of varying skill levels, making it an inviting option for beginners while still offering enough challenge to keep more experienced golfers engaged.

Spanning roughly 3,000 yards from the tips with a par set around 36, the course features a traditional parkland style. Trees line select fairways, offering pockets of shade and strategic framing, while open stretches present opportunities to test driving accuracy and distance. Bunkers are sparingly placed yet effective in demanding thoughtful approach shots, particularly around the greens where subtle undulations encourage precision putting.

The course's gentle topography allows for comfortable walking, and though vehicle carts are available, many players find the layout suitable for a lap on foot without undue fatigue. Dress appropriately for Nebraska’s weather, with layered clothing ideal for spring and fall rounds.

Seward Community Golf Course stands out for its affordability and well-kept grounds, a combination that appeals to local golfers and visitors alike. The driving range, while modest, provides a place to warm up, though players should verify availability beforehand. The friendly atmosphere overall contrasts with some mixed reviews regarding staff interaction, so prospective guests may want to establish expectations ahead of their visit.

While the course doesn’t boast architectural fame or signature holes, its approachable nature and steady conditioning create a solid backdrop for casual play. It remains a practical choice for those looking to enjoy golf without the formality or expense of a larger private facility. Preparation is key, especially during busy summer weekends, as pace of play can vary with larger groups. Planning an early round can enhance the ease and enjoyment of your visit to this community-centered Nebraska course.

I would suggest finding someone who actually has customer service skills to run your desk because they guy doing it now is a door knob.

One of the best priced Golf Courses around. Only Cost $44 to play 18 holes with a cart. Also the course was in great shape for it only being April too.

I recently booked a tee time for three groups of 4, we had a great time and the course was in great shape. The clubhouse attendant however was not friendly at all, and would hardly talk to us, when he checked us in he made us feel that we were a bother to him, not sure if it was because we were all from out of town or what. All of my buddies noticed this too. He never said "thanks for coming" or "appreciate your business" I tried to get him to engage after our round, and commented that the course was in great shape, his response? "Yep" When we finished our round we started to back our carts up by the fence by the #1 tee, he came outside and barked at us to pull our carts over to another area. I book 3 rounds every summer for anywhere from 10 to 18 people, we'd love to come back but if this is the way we'll be treated we'll go elsewhere with our money, which by my conservative estimate we spent over $700

Good golf here, wide fairways and not alot of hazards. 9 hole course with alot to offer. Driving range was limited as they did not have anyone to go pick up balls, so call ahead before you go to make sure. We showed up an hour early to hit balls first. Other than that, course plays well.

Called and was given a tee time at 10:30, drove 30 miles to get there on time only to be but behind several groups of 6 golfers. Who approves such a thing. 6 golfers that can’t golf should never be put in same group. When I asked the person in charge she said the manager had approved it. Although the course seemed like a nice little course, we were only able to finish 5 holes in 2 hours. Very disappointed in the Seward community golf course.
