Branson Hills Golf Club

Branson, Missouri, USACentral Missouri

Branson Hills Golf Club presents a demanding 18-hole layout set amid rolling Ozark hills, blending challenging carries, elevated greens, and generous fairways. This semi-private course welcomes golfers seeking a spirited test with a variety of strategic options and thoughtful course management.

Course Overview

Branson Hills Golf Club offers an 18-hole challenge that combines natural beauty with strategic shot-making in southwest Missouri. The course is a semi-private layout that commands respect from golfers seeking a demanding round without sacrificing scenic enjoyment. Situated atop gently rolling terrain, Branson Hills unfolds through generous fairways flanked by mature hardwoods and dramatic elevation changes, inviting players to test their accuracy and club selection throughout.

The layout emphasizes thoughtful positioning, featuring multiple forced carries over well-placed water hazards and deep bunkers that frame the undulating greens. These greens, maintained at a high standard, reward precise iron play and patience on the putting surface. With firm yet receptive conditions commonly reported, they encourage a wide variety of shot shapes and trajectories. While the course requires careful strategy, its wide fairways allow players of diverse abilities to find footing and enjoy the round.

Golfers will experience a blend of parkland style with touches of a mountain course, where elevation drops often lead to inviting landing zones, contrasting against tighter, more tree-lined approaches. This combination yields a rhythm that challenges without overwhelming. The course’s signature holes demand both length and finesse, peppering the round with memorable risk-reward decisions.

Amenities complement the course experience with a well-stocked pro shop and friendly staff ready to assist players. Practice facilities include a driving range and short game area, allowing ample preparation before teeing off. Hydration stations and course-side restrooms add practical comfort to rounds, especially during warmer months.

Walking the course is possible, though the hilly layout benefits from golf carts, particularly during hotter days or for those less accustomed to elevation changes. Players are encouraged to wear supportive footwear to navigate the varied terrain easily.

Branson Hills Golf Club caters to mid- to low-handicap players seeking a championship-style test framed by the Ozark foothills. At the same time, its forgiving fairways and accessible tees offer opportunities for improving players to grow and engage with a course that demands respect at every hole.

Course Highlights

Branson Hills is defined by its expansive fairways, mandatory carries over lakes and creeks, and thick, challenging bunkers protecting the greens. The elevation changes offer distinct downhill and uphill shots that require precision. The course’s layout encourages strategic play with multiple tee options catering to varying skill levels. Its recently maintained greens are known for speed and subtle breaks, enhancing the challenge for putters.

Beautiful layout high level of difficulty. Greens in great shape. The course is showing a bit of neglect and the lakes were very low. Hard to understand as table rock is currently at near record high. Pro shop very nice and Marshall's very pleasant and helpful.

Great golf course, with generous fairways, beautiful greens, and mandatory carries. The staff was super helpful. Great practice area. A bit expensive to play 18 holes with a cart.

I was greeted by the staff in the parking lot well before my 7:00 am tee time, They had a cart ready for me and directed me where to go. Course was in amazing shape and I will definitely be back for another round in the future!

The course is beautiful, the greens are awesome. The gentleman in the pro shop is extremely nice. There are no employees at the bag drop, to assist with bags or carts . There is no starter to insure spacing or answer questions about tee box colors. There is no ranger patrolling the pace of play. I drove 10 hours to play the course, it was a birthday present ( my 60th ) . It rained heavily two days earlier and the play was restricted to cart path only. It took over 4 hours to play the first 9 holes, we were the fourth group in line at the 10 tee box. We left on hole 12 after 5.5 hours. A group of 8 slowed play to a stop driving paying customers away. A horrible experience for the #1 golf course in MO. I would not recommend Update.. the shop pro I met reached out to my wife about our experience. In an effort to make amends refunded 1/2 our green fees, comped my small pro shop purchase and sent my wife and I matching shirts. This guy is a treasure and the overseer of integrity at Branson Hills. Thank you Austin Fickle, you’re the best

Nice course. The sand traps need a major overhaul. Maybe it’s because of the rain they had. Course was in great shape other than the sand traps. Greens looked like they had some dry spots, but nothing of concern. Staff was very friendly. You have to think on this course as to the shot placement. There isn’t. Turn, but they have a pretty cart girl working for you out there. It would be nice if people would learn to pick up their feet on the greens. They have nice bathrooms on the course as well. I recommend playing this course.
