This public, 18-hole layout spreads across gently rolling terrain adjacent to the Boise River, delivering a classic parkland-style setting with wide fairways and moderate challenges. This course is where my brother and I would bike on the greenbelt to as kids & practice on the range. It’s also where I learned to golf as an adult. Yes there are geese. But this place is homely and welcoming, and I’ll never stop coming here til the day I die. Even if the geese are annoying.

Very good course. Plenty long yet short for seniors and Newbies. Greens are excellent for a muni. Wide fairways yet testy if you get to the edges where there are plenty of mature trees. Course plays right out front of you, no trick holes. Staff is helpful and friendly. Nice practice area for putting and chipping. Driving range is close to the clubhouse so you can get lunch and hit a bucket. The course is better than the cost to play. Looking great since the weather change.

Nice public course on the river. Pretty open fairways with lots of space, almost no elevation changes and only a few water hazards so technically it's an easier course. Gets pretty crowded as this is the closest course to the East End and pretty close to the upscale neighborhoods like Barber Valley, the Mesa and Riverbend.

Great course for the $31 green fee. The course is forgiving with little water hazards and quite a bit of open grass to find the balls that don't hit the fairway. There wasn't a beer/food cart driving around even though it was pretty busy. Not sure if that is typical. Overall, a nice course and a fun round.

This was the third course I visited during my recent trip to Boise Idaho. Warms Springs is a public, parkland style course that's a short drive from downtown Boise, that sits between the Boise River and the beautiful mountains of Idaho. It claims to be a championship style course. I would argue that it's not. This is a beginner to a high-handicapped player friendly public course. The course is generally long, flat and forgiving. It can get boring at times if you're a better than average golfer. The tee boxes are oddly spaced out, and show some wear. The bunkers are shallow with very hard sand. The greens are generally in good condition and playable. The pace of play is slow. We played closer to five hours. This largely to do with the variety of players this course attracts. The practice areas are nothing to write home about and are barely useful to warm up. And the pro shop is also very basic, and cluttered. I definitely wouldn't stick around for a beverage after. For a no-frills course, the fees are more than affordable which is in line with what you get. I would say that this course is best suited for beginner or high-handicapped players who just want to have fun and a fair price. All being sad, it was a fun day with good weather. I couldn't complain too much.
