Course Overview

Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Summerfield, Florida, offers a welcoming setting for golfers seeking a balance between challenge and enjoyment across its 36 holes configured in four distinct 9-hole courses. The layout leans toward a parkland style marked by generous fairways lined with native Florida vegetation and subtle water hazards that influence strategy without overwhelming play. Each 9 offers a slightly different character, inviting players to explore a variety of shot selections and course management decisions throughout a full round.

The club prides itself on strong playability suited to a broad range of skill levels. While low handicappers will appreciate the thoughtful green complexes and varied pin positions, higher handicaps benefit from wide landing zones and forgiving rough. Golfers find the pace of play friendly, supported by a well-maintained practice area where warm-ups can polish every facet of the game.

Scenery at Eagle Ridge highlights gentle elevation changes typical of Central Florida's terrain, paired with seasonal blooms that add bursts of color amid the mature trees. The design encourages tactical thinking as well, with several holes featuring well-placed bunkers and water that softly but steadily pressure precision off the tee and approach shots.

Facilities include a modern clubhouse that accommodates dining and social events, along with a pro shop stocked for any equipment needs. While golf carts are generally available, walking is welcomed and manageable given the course’s layout and terrain, making it a comfortable experience for those choosing to go on foot.

Eagle Ridge's reputation benefits from a friendly and professional staff who maintain the course in inviting condition year-round. Though it is a public facility, the atmosphere retains a personal, neighborhood feel where regulars and new visitors find common ground in their appreciation of the game.

For those planning a visit, midweek play offers quieter conditions and ample tee time availability, while the Florida climate encourages play throughout the year with minimal seasonal disruption. A round here delivers accessible golf within a relaxed but carefully crafted environment.

My JEEP got hit in the parking lot by golf cart driven by a woman named Sara. She said she was sorry and gave me her name and phone number. The next day, I texted her an estimate of damages. Her husband refused to take responsibility for his wife. Be very careful in their parking lot. Lots of old people driving without looking. I am out $500 for someone not taking responsibility for her actions. Too bad this is a great course and staff.

Played a charity golf scramble there today. Nice course. Greens were in great shape. Fairways were okay but not a ton of grass yet.. I'm sure as the weather continues to improve they will fill in.
