Seminole Lake Country Club

Seminole, Florida, USACentral Florida

Seminole Lake Country Club delivers a public 18-hole parkland course known for its well-kept fairways and challenging water hazards. With a balanced layout that welcomes players of all skill levels, it offers a rewarding golfing experience in central Florida’s vibrant Pinellas County.

Course Overview

Seminole Lake Country Club offers a compelling public golf experience in Seminole, Florida, combining well-maintained grounds with a layout that appeals to a broad range of players. This 18-hole, par-72 course extends just over 6,500 yards, presenting a parkland setting characterized by mature trees, gently rolling fairways, and water features that come into play on multiple holes. The combination of tree-lined corridors and strategically placed bunkers crafts a course that challenges accuracy without deterring players still refining their game.

The conditioning of the turf earns consistent praise, with lush fairways and greens that are smooth but firm, demanding thoughtful approach shots and precise putting. While the greens can be quick and occasionally firm, they reward those willing to engage their short game skills. Water hazards appear on several holes, adding strategic choices off the tee and around the greens. The open layout allows for comfortable play even on breezier days, though shifting winds can subtly influence club selection.

The course maintains a pace of play that can vary throughout the week, and visitors should anticipate possible delays during peak times. It is suited to both casual weekend rounds and more serious practice sessions, welcoming golfers seeking variety in shotmaking rather than simply length or brute power.

Off the course, Seminole Lake features a clubhouse that supports a straightforward golf outing, with service noted for courtesy and attentiveness, though some guests have remarked on limited on-course amenities such as beverage cart availability. Walking is permitted, with firm footing underfoot; comfortable golf shoes are advisable to navigate the gentle undulations and natural terrain.

Located just a short drive from central Pinellas County attractions, Seminole Lake Country Club accommodates diverse players wanting a public venue with a dependable condition and a layout that exercises shot strategy. Whether managing risks around water or enjoying the calm Florida landscape, rounds here invite players to focus on execution and club selection from start to finish.

Course Highlights

$50 currently and I have to say it was a fun and challenging round. Greens are rock hard which took some getting used to but they are in great shape. The course is in fantastic shape and we got around in 3.5-4 hours. Will be back frequently if the prices remain this reasonable

I recently had the pleasure of visitingSminole Lake Country Clubb, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. Tee time was at 7.15. The grass conditions were impeccable, providing a smooth and enjoyable playing surface throughout the course. The attention to detail in maintaining the greens and fairways truly stood out. The service was top-notch from start to finish. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure a memorable visit. Whether it was at the pro shop, the clubhouse, or out on the course, the level of professionalism and hospitality was commendable.

I play a lot of pinellas county golf. This is the worst pace of play by far. This isn’t a one time thing. The last three times I’ve played out there I have to leave early because we aren’t moving! The three times before that I stuck around and finished the 5+ hour round. Weekends, weekdays, doesn’t matter. Nice people and nice course can’t complain there. One of the nicer public courses in southern pinellas county. But every time I play out here it is unbelievably slow. Nothing like I have ever experienced before. It took 42 minutes from the time we tee’d off number 10 to the time we tee’d off number 12. That just can’t happen.

Inexcusably slow play every time I go here. Course is in good shape. Everybody is nice. No complaints there. But it doesn’t matter the time or day, inconsiderate tee time, starter, and Marshall management. 3 checks and balances for pace of play and it’s still slow every time. Someone not doing a good enough job

Course is in very good shape. Not worth the $115 they were charging last week. If you are going to charge over $100 you better at least have a cart girl. They claim they to have a cart girl so she is either invisible or terrible because after 18 holes and 2pm, she was never to be found.
