The Club at Ocala Preserve
The Club at Ocala Preserve features an 18-hole private course blending strategic design with Florida’s natural landscapes. Its approachable yet challenging layout appeals to all skill levels, offering a rewarding round amid tall pines and rolling terrain.
Course Overview
The Club at Ocala Preserve offers an 18-hole private golf experience set in the gently rolling terrain of Central Florida’s horse country. This championship-caliber course presents a balanced blend of challenge and accessibility, designed to appeal to a broad range of golfers, from enthusiastic novices to low handicap players seeking a strategic test. The layout unfolds across well-maintained fairways bordered by mature pines and native oaks, creating a serene atmosphere framed by natural Floridian landscapes rather than flashy landscaping.
Players encounter a thoughtful combination of long par-4s and tight, target-oriented par-3s that reward precision over power. The greens are firm yet receptive, subtly contoured to demand focus on approach shots and putting rhythms without overwhelming the casual player. Strategic bunkering is placed to influence decision-making off the tee rather than to overly penalize errant shots. Additionally, water hazards gently weave through select holes, adding both aesthetic interest and tactical considerations as golfers navigate their way through the round.
The surrounding environment contributes to an engaging sensory experience. A soft breeze often moves through the pines, testing timing on longer swings, while the occasional birdcall offers a peaceful backdrop. The course’s drainage and maintenance ensure conditioning remains reliable throughout the year, allowing players to enjoy consistent footing and turf conditions regardless of season.
Beyond the course, The Club at Ocala Preserve provides members with a comfortable clubhouse that includes dining facilities and practice areas to refine every aspect of their game. The inviting ambiance of the main clubhouse offers a quiet place to relax and review the round or plan the next visit.
This course is best suited for those seeking a private golf community focused on steady improvement and challenging yet fair play. Visitors planning a trip should prepare for walking the gently undulating terrain, with recommended footwear suitable for turf and occasional sandy conditions. The Club at Ocala Preserve rewards thoughtful shot-making with a golfing experience firmly rooted in its natural Florida setting.

We ate lunch at the Salted Brick for the first time and it was delicious! Our server was super nice and the view was great. Very nice country club setting. We will be back especially when it gets warmer to sit on the gorgeous patio.

Food does not come out of the kitchen consistently both in quantity and quality. Staff is slow. Limited menu. Not everyone can eat fish. Only open 4 ½ days a week. Bartenders are on top of things! Ambience is great.

Food is marginal at best. Costly for what you get.
