Manatee County Golf Course

Bradenton, Florida, USACentral Florida

Manatee County Golf Course in Bradenton, Florida, offers a welcoming 18-hole layout that combines approachable playability with subtle strategic challenges. Featuring smooth greens, natural water hazards, and a straightforward Florida landscape, it caters to golfers seeking value and enjoyable rounds in a friendly municipal setting.

Course Overview

Manatee County Golf Course presents an accessible and enjoyable 18-hole layout situated in Bradenton, Florida, designed to offer golfers of varied skill levels a solid challenge without sacrificing playability. This public course stretches just over 6,200 yards and plays to a par of 72, balancing open fairways with strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that demand thoughtful shot placement rather than sheer length.

The course’s landscape is familiar Florida golf: predominantly flat with gentle undulations, highlighted by native palm clusters and swaths of natural wetlands that frame several holes. These water features come into play on multiple stretches, lending an element of strategic depth that keeps players engaged from the first tee through the closing holes. The greens are well maintained and known for their smooth roll, rewarding precise putting and a keen sense of pace.

Designed to serve a wide audience, Manatee County Golf Course accommodates beginners looking to refine their game, as well as experienced players seeking a reasonable but fun test of skills. The fairways are generous, encouraging confidence off the tee, yet the course layout introduces subtle complexities—doglegs, well-positioned bunkers, and water elements—that enforce strategic thinking.

Amenities include a practice driving range and a friendly, welcoming clubhouse that provides a relaxed atmosphere for post-round meals or socializing. The staff is known for their approachable and helpful nature, ensuring the overall experience remains hospitable and stress-free.

Golfers should note that the driving range operates off mats and does not supply tees, so bringing your own equipment might enhance practice sessions. For players planning a visit, mornings or late afternoons are ideal times to avoid the peak heat and make the most of the Florida breeze, which can add an extra layer of challenge, particularly on the mid-length par-4s.

Manatee County Golf Course holds its place as a reliable municipal gem in the Bradenton area, delivering solid golf value amid pleasant surroundings. It stands out especially for those seeking an affordable yet comprehensive Florida round where playability aligns with enjoyable, straightforward course design.

Course Highlights

This course is distinguished by its balance of approachable fairways and natural water features that shape shot strategy without overwhelming less experienced players. The putting surfaces are well cared-for, providing true and smooth rolls. The driving range operates from mats without tees, a detail visitors should prepare for. The clubhouse atmosphere is welcoming, making it a favorite among local and visiting golfers alike.

Pretty decent, very good for the price. Paid like 23 bucks after 4:00 p.m. for 18 holes riding which is amazing value! Fairways and tee boxes aren't great but greens were surprisingly very nice, and that's what counts

Great day today at a great track. Shot 76 but really let a good round get away from me. 3 jacked the par 5 ninth after a buttery fade from 189 landed like a butterfly with sore feet. Came to 16 1-over par after short birdie misses @ 13, 14 & 15. Howling right to left wind and I spun a 9iron high and a little left, wind took into the OB fence line, had to take unplayable and made double. Pedestrian wedge into 17 and walked away with par. Caught a tough uphill lie and the ball climbed the face of my wedge into 18, short in the bunker. Splash out and two putt for bogey. 76. Greens rolled pure & true it was just really really tough out there. But be sure I’ll be back again with clarity and sincerity when I attack the best Municipal golf course in NW Bradenton!!

Wait until the summertime to play here, $80/ round is foolish for a course like this- update: it's now Summer time and $40 a round is perfect, great course, lots of fun! Can't wait to play again! :)

I played nine holes here and also have gone to the driving range seems like a pretty decent golf course well maintained very friendly in the Pro Shop they make you feel welcomed. Note that the driving range is off the mat only*** there's also no tees so I wasn't very comfortable hitting my driver. As I was getting ready to leave I seen the guy beside me (Phil) that he had a special claw type tee that twisted in on the AstroTurf. So I will try that next time. The greens are well maintained the course is well maintained it's quite beautiful scenery and a nice place to be on a sunny day. Also one of the few courses around with a driving range that's close to us. Please click THUMBS UP if this review helped you

I’ve been contacted multiple times by a Jordan B about advertising with them. I explained that the only funds we had we’re already donated to a special needs children’s school the Achievement center, and then they called back about a week after asked again and when I told them the same thing, and that we had already spoken, he was rude, hung up on me after I was being nothing but courteous, and giving him the time to listen to what he had to say. I will definitely not be advertising with my company anytime soon. this review reflects nothing of the Location itself and it’s staff. I’m sure they are wonderful.

Showed up today to play golf. No mention of greens being aerated online OR at the clubhouse before I paid for the round. Will never come back. When courses do this it’s just scummy.

Came here today, was raining pretty bad after the third hole, went back to the clubhouse and waited. Decided I best pack up my things, and the staff was so nice and caring, gave me a full refund and overall a great experience. Not the most impressive course but for the value of a full 18 it’s pretty great. Would 100% recommend if you are looking to scratch your good itch on vacation and don’t want to break the bank.
