Cocoa Beach Country Club

Cocoa Beach, Florida, USACentral Florida Coast

Cocoa Beach Country Club combines an accessible 18-hole layout with classic Florida terrain, offering open fairways, coastal breezes, and a balanced challenge for golfers of all levels. Located on the Space Coast, it provides value and a relaxed atmosphere amid evergreen trees and natural water features.

Course Overview

Cocoa Beach Country Club offers a classic 18-hole golf experience along Florida's Space Coast, firmly established as a public course welcoming players of all skill levels. Located on 5000 Tom Warriner Blvd, the layout blends the flat, open contours typical of Floridian golf courses with pockets of mature pine and oak trees that frame the fairways and provide natural variation in routing. This course opens with an approachable front nine that gradually leads players into a slightly more demanding back nine, where occasional water hazards and strategically placed bunkers challenge shot-making decisions.

The course measures approximately 6,000 yards with a par set around 70, making it a versatile test accessible to higher handicaps while maintaining enough interest for better players looking to refine their accuracy. The playability is enhanced by generally wide fairways, although dryness in certain seasons can firm up the turf, requiring more precision, especially on approaches. Greens are moderately sized and receptive but demand careful reading due to subtle breaks. The landscape’s openness allows coastal breezes to influence shot strategy, adding a dynamic component that rewards tempo control.

Amenities include a well-stocked pro shop, a driving range for warm-ups, and a casual clubhouse bar and grill that serves as a social hub after rounds. Although some recent feedback points to maintenance challenges, ongoing efforts aim to improve course conditions and enhance the overall golfer experience. The staff reception tends to be friendly and eager to assist, which reflects the club’s community-oriented spirit.

Visitors planning to play here should prepare for Florida’s sun and possible afternoon showers, so early tee times are recommended. Walking is permitted, with paths mostly smooth but appropriate footwear advised due to occasional sandy sections. Rental carts and clubs are available, ensuring convenience for those traveling light or seeking a less strenuous round.

Cocoa Beach Country Club presents a practical, affordable choice for golfers wanting a solid round with coastal charm and a blend of approachable holes and a few subtle tests. Whether looking to enjoy a relaxed outing or sharpen competitive skills, this course offers a straightforward but engaging setting on Florida’s east coast.

Course Highlights

The course’s flat Floridian landscape with scattered mature pines and oak trees defines its character, complemented by coastal winds that subtly affect play. Holes near water hazards call for strategic shots, and the relatively firm fairways challenge golfers to balance distance with control. The clubhouse provides a welcoming atmosphere with essential amenities for a fully rounded day on the course.

For a public course it wasn’t too bad. Not overcrowded and pace of play went well. Fairways are dry but the greens were in pretty good shape. However lady in clubhouse and our lady bartender weren’t super friendly or inviting.

Mosquitoes!!!! This used to be one of my favorite corses however it was overwhelmed by mosquitoes! Had to quit after 4 holes. The pro shop offered bug spray but it didn’t even work. There should be a warning or at least signs of how bad the mosquitos are.

Great staff (starters/rangersproshop) course is beautiful and some challenging holes. Wildlife is a nice add-on benefit. Cart girls were great, when you could find one, and 19th hole was ok, but service was slow, especially if jumping in at the turn. 2/4 times there was no one behind the bar when i came in, for like >10 minutes. All said, really liked the place a lot!!

I have never seen a course in such bad shape. Fairways were like rock and dead Greens on river course were terrible with weeds growing on them. A city who supposedly acts like their course is the greatest around should be charging 20 dollars to play it. If I was a citizen of cocoa beach you should be asking where their tax dollars are going. As a Brevard citizen I will tell people to never play this course until it's repaired. Which in my opinion will take 2 years and complete shut down to all golfers

Golf Course is really in bad shape. Don't waste your time. Very overpriced for the condition of the course. Can't even use it for a bad example. I am ashamed of myself for the amount I paid for a Course in such dismal shape. The best thing I can say about this experience is that it is over, and I now have a worst case example in which to judge other courses. This place is an absolute cow pasture.
