Golf - Leavenworth's Premier Grass Putting Experience

Leavenworth, Washington, USACascade Foothills

This 18-hole putting course in Leavenworth combines real grass greens with quiet mountain views to create an engaging and authentic short game experience. Perfect for families and seasoned players alike, it challenges touch and pace in a welcoming, walkable setting.

Course Overview

Set against the striking foothills of the Cascades, this unique golf venue in Leavenworth, Washington, offers a refreshing departure from conventional mini golf. Its 18-hole layout embraces real grass greens that demand a genuine putting touch, challenging players beyond mere gimmicks. The course stretches over a well-maintained expanse that mixes playability with subtle strategy, making it equally inviting for casual enjoyment and more serious putting practice.

The environment surrounding the holes speaks of care and balance. Mature trees cast welcome shade along fair lanes, while benches placed thoughtfully provide respites in warmer daylight hours. The course atmosphere encourages steady pace combined with moments to appreciate the crisp mountain air and the distant ridge lines that frame the property.

Walking this compact, thoughtfully designed route feels effortless and engaging. Players retrieve their clubs from the nearby Enzian Inn, located just across US Highway 2, which adds an easy sense of arrival and convenience. Expect a stroll back and forth that complements the relaxed but purposeful rhythm of the game.

The target audience spans from families seeking wholesome outdoor activity to seasoned golfers eyeing a serious test of short game control. Unlike standard artificial surfaces, the natural grass demands attention to green speed and subtle undulations. This elevates each putt’s challenge while keeping the fun intact.

Visitors should prepare for some variability in the course’s pace during busier periods, with ample seating to regroup if needed. Left-handed players may want to bring their own putters, as equipment options are primarily right-hand oriented. Evening rounds introduce a gentle coolness that refreshes play but can also highlight the need for layers.

This venue stands out as more than a novelty; it provides authentic putting experience in a setting that rewards focus and casual competition alike. Whether after a mountain hike or a leisurely brunch, the course invites golfers to sharpen their touch and savor the charm of an untraditional green.

Course Highlights

Featuring real grass greens and natural landscaping, the course provides a rare putting experience resembling full golf greens. Shaded resting areas and benches allow players to pace themselves comfortably. The foothill backdrop offers both a scenic and tranquil ambiance uncommon in putting courses.

Wow I can't wait to come back, the best mini golf course I've ever seen. More like a real course.

Such a fun place to get away from the crowd and challenge your putting skills. Get your clubs across the street.

We love this place. Super cool mini putting course. Such a great use of land. Incredible idea. Ask the hotel to rent the putters! Have fun.

BAA-AA-AAA. There's goats and deer living here and they just want attention. Please do not freak out when you see the deer living on hole 3. This course is so well taken care of and well crafted I had to stop and just enjoy it. Buried in a hill, unknown to the world, 18 holes with only a putter and hope. I also noticed the water features make it feel about 15-20 degrees cooler than in town. Very nice touch, and so worth the visit. $50 for 3 adults, worth it to me. (And I'm picky!)

We had a lot of fun. The course is fully real grass and really well maintained. Lots of variety in the holes. And lots of shady spots and benches along the way to take a break and cool down on hot days. My husband has a lot more real golf experience than I and he really enjoyed it as well. You have to pick up your clubs and pay at the hotel across the street. It's a really easy walk to and from there.

We had a great time on the course on a beautiful day in Leavenworth. Giving four stars since they did not have a lefty putter for me to use. The grounds are well maintained even with the continuous flow of people. There are some benches and a few shaded areas to wait if you catch up to a larger group in front of you. Thankful that the course wasn't full of little kids until we were leaving.

They take pride in the grounds and course maintenance. Come here for adult fun after brunch, or in the evening. Or give your teenage kids a surprise when they find out this isn't exactly "mini golf". Don't bring young children. Was $17 per head. Pay across the street at the Enzian Inn. As someone who doesn't golf often, this was a nice change of pace! Bonus: look for the goats at night!
