Fontenelle Forest, located just south of Omaha in Bellevue, Nebraska, is one of the largest private nature areas in the United States. Spanning over 2,000 acres, the forest features diverse ecosystems including wetlands, prairies, and deciduous forests. The forest is home to over 600 plant species and a plethora of wildlife such as deer, wild turkeys, and a variety of birds, including eagles. Founded in 1913, Fontenelle Forest is dedicated to conservation, education, and community engagement.
