About Langtang National Park
Langtang National Park, established in 1976, is the first Himalayan national park and the fourth protected area in Nepal. It encompasses diverse topographies from the lowland forests to the towering peaks of Langtang Lirung. Covering approximately 652,268 acres, it boasts a wide variety of flora including subtropical Broadleaf forests, pine trees, and Rhododendron forests. The park is home to rare species such as the red panda, snow leopard, and various birds.
