About Sanganeb Marine National Park

 

Sanganeb Marine National Park is located approximately 25 kilometers off the Sudanese coast in the Red Sea. It is the only atoll reef in the Red Sea ecosystem and is characterized by its striking underwater topography and biodiversity. The park is famous for its vibrant coral reefs, which are home to over 300 species of fish, marine mammals such as dolphins, and diverse coral formations. Established in 1990, Sanganeb is part of Sudan's efforts to preserve its unique marine ecosystems.
